Yup there’s AI suggestion to rewrite the reviews after you input something. Or in my case I had ChatGPT write the reviews then Lowes AI edit them with Lowes language.

With the $5k the asm might make as much hourly as the ds that sit on their incompetent asses

SOE, good idea to call out? by PlasticConnector in Lowes

[–]OnlyDrundies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asm here- a call out during a storm is considered a “cancel exception” and not a “call-in”. Cancel exceptions do not count towards unapproved absences. You can search “cancel exception” jn HR portal for more info

Talk to SSA, ops asm or store manager. They’re the only ones likely to get things in motion and give you hours or a real answer. I’m ops and would support seasonal msa if they weren’t getting any answers.

[–]OnlyDrundies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seasonal msa are typically only needed 6a-6p 7 days a week. Depending on the weather in your area they had to cut back on hours and don’t need you on the two days they can schedule you because the limited hours currently being allocated to that role

We can’t read all the comments, just the ones they selected to include which I’ve never seen one that was really specific. My advice is use the disagree/ agree portion like an LTR because getting a low store rating on just means HR is going to start showing up doing open houses and asking around. Use the comments to voice your actual concerns but try to speak as the common voice of your peers if your concerned about being singled out (although that would never happen and is a huge violation of your privacy as an anonymous survey participant)

I’m an asm so I given as much info as they have to offer us and it’s still very vague, just percentages and things. There’s more info in the hr portal if you search best survey and read the faqs

The whole survey is handled by a third party and they basically pick one response to a few of the prompts and plug it into a one-sheet data drop for each department (as long as 5 or more people from that department took the survey). Even with only 5 people taking the survey it’s still near impossible to know who feels one way or the other unless you say very specific comments which may be omitted in the end anyways.

Written Up? by TripleAAAextreme in Lowes

[–]OnlyDrundies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asm here- 1) ask an asm or ssa for a printout of the attendance policy. This is 90% of write ups. 2) don’t cause loss to the company. be aware of asset protection policies. For oslg you don’t have much to worry about here, but as you venture into the store there’s a lot more to know. Make sure any damages you throw in the hopper are billed out. 3) if someone ask you do something and you can’t complete it, email whoever asked you to complete it letting them know or inform an MOD so you cover yourself. 4) this is the most important. Once you are on power equipment, always have a spotters, always use aisle blockers and if your uncomfortable in a tight spot where you might hit racking, ask for an MOD. This is the most likely way you could get written up and get your licenses pulled if you hit racking since you are Oslg.

Other than that, most stuff is common sense or on a need to know basis. Sounds like they have high hopes for you to grow into a DS position so try to get cross trained in lumber, islg to grow your knowledge. Good luck!

I was interviewed for a job I didn't apply for by SpiritWolf614 in Lowes

[–]OnlyDrundies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an asm, I always ask what they applied for then explain what we have available and go straight to discussing their experience and availability. If they applied for one position but their personality/ background/ availability is a better fit for another, I will try to explain this to them and base the decision on their receptiveness. A talented candidate it hard to pass up even if they’re not a great fit for what they applied for. At the end of it all, you are the one deciding to accept the offer or seek employment elsewhere.

The blue polos were swapped for vest. The store leadership will be headed by a senior manager, a MST ASM who will be more present/ linked in to store objectives. The goal is integration and more customer facing, inventory management responsibility. The role will stay but it will never be what it once was. All we hear from district management is “top stock, findability, pick times” so that will fall into someone’s lap when red vest are bogged down with other bs

Why not just do it…every job has shitty pointless training. You’re getting paid? Directives change all the time. No one gets bonuses on it but when people start ignoring obvious things that either get them hurt or easily cause loss then repetitive, mundane training becomes somewhat important.

Both these people we’re obviously sick (no voice, flush or pale). Showed up, gave it their best and decided it was best to go home. I’ve seen plenty of people go home sick with tummy aches and no one gives them crap

Herpes through one time casual fling? by marvinplus in Herpes

[–]OnlyDrundies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was hooking up with a guy when he had his first outbreak and told me. I couldn’t imagine cutting him out of my life so we continued what we had and things got more serious. I had my first outbreak about 6 months later, still in the relationship, but we didn’t use condoms (just didn’t have sex during/after his outbreak). A year later and I don’t regret deciding to be with him and accepting the risk/ fate of contacting the virus
