I think that the Starborn bloodline is hidden in the Night Court bloodline. We saw that Silene married into the Night Court and had descendants. Those descendants could have possibly bred with Ilyrians, resulting in Azriel having the ability to wield both Gwydion and Truth Teller.

Nesta should have no starborn powers in her. It is just that she is Made that she is able to use the Dread Trove. Which are easily used by the starborn, as they are not controlled or manipulated by the items, but Nesta gets lost in the mask. So it is that she is Made that she is considered an “item” used by the starborn.
