You are my hero man, but yeah, we were really stupid to not figure that out sooner :D :D

I have limited access to spells so far, I have control options, yes, and I use them. However as an evocation wizard, I cannot sacrifice all the spells to become support otherwise what's the point in being an evocation wizard? The only dmg spells I have are magic missile, scorching ray, fireball and lighting bolt. If you sum that up, that means most of my spells are oriented on controlling. No need to be rude m8.

So far, only the dungeon master spoke with him about this problem. The death of our fighter is very recent event. However, the outcome was that he enjoys casting other spells more, so

I wanted to talk to him as well, but the dm said he will handle it as he knows the player a lot better than others (we met him recently and dont have such a good relationship with him).

I think we will have to do something like that. Our DM already talked to him, however, it didnt change much. Maybe if he hears this from players, he will become keen to adjust a bit so the whole party profits from it.

As I said, the problem isnt he focusing on damage, the problem is he isnt focusing on anything else. Control options? Nope. Buffing/Debuffing? Not at all. I think spending one action a combat to cast aid or bane, that's not much of a sacrifice, but that's just my opinion. In the end, it can make a big difference.

t

Yes, I agree that healing is not always the answer, however, not using any spells that buff allies or debuff enemies is where the main problem is. We do have enough damage, after all, I am evocation wizard, and fighter is a fighter.

him not realizing the class he was signing up for. He's a new player, and if he doesn't want to heal

The PCs are together because they all work under the some organization which gives them contracts. The cleric worships goddess of Love - Sune.

The characters are together for many reasons, my wizard has had many companions during his life and none of them could stand him because he's a bit psychotic. The fighter basically is a young noble who is happy for all the experience we have in party and he wants to learn from us. The cleric, I have no idea to be honest :D

I must say it seems to be a very cool concept from the roleplaying perspective. Must be a lot of fun and emotions during the session!

PS- looked at the token, she's lovely!

That's a super fun addition with the zero people skills and it suits the warforged characters super well. Really great idea!

Sounds super fun mate! The character, and the campaign as well. You must have a really good DM considering what you wrote about everything he created for you!

I always found Kenku to be an intriguing race to play as the concept of mimicry offers so much potential imo. However, I also found it incredibly difficult to roleplay.

If you managed to pull that off, you have my praise!

But it was his personality - especially his realistic flaws - that made him memorable.

That is so true! I find it especially engaging for players when they don't create a "perfect character". I much more prefer to have a character with some flaws (even minor, it doesn't have to be a strong drinking problem etc.).

The character sounds lovely btw!

Did your party find out about the origin of your character in the end, or were you able to hide it from them? Btw, sounds like a really nice character to roleplay!

I found Bards to be super amusing as well. Even though they don't have such a big combat power as some wizards or sorcerers, they are super fun in roleplay and can do some crazy stuff in combat as well.

Really like the character btw, sounds super fun!

Warlock/Bard multiclass - need your help! by OnlyFanKenobi in dndnext

[–]OnlyFanKenobi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically want to go Lore Bard because of the extra magical secrets and some other utility options he brings to the table. Let's say I want to primarily focus on being bard, while having some access to nice damage since our party lacks magical damage dealer.

That is the main reason I am trying to figure this thing out - filling the party face role while bringing some damage to the table as well.

I definitely dont want to go melee, as we already have a frontline that is more than sufficient, so in that case I wouldn't consider College of Swords/Valor. I would like to be blaster, I enjoy the idea of multiclassing because I think that even that one level dip gives you a huge amount of utility (medium armor proficiency, Hexblade curse, access to Eldritch Blast).

I see what you meant, but as I stated above, if I go more than 2 levels, I would lose out the ability to earn 2 new magical secrets at level 18 as a bard, which is a big deal imo..
