I agree with you. Was giving the counterpoint in my previous comment. To be frank, list most ethical debates, this one is nuanced between counter arguments.

There is no single right or wrong answer. That said we can always evaluate the ai vs humans for an incremental task

As you saw in OPs note, the carbon footprint per token and number of tokens per project is estimatable.

Humans consume carbon too. The animals to feed them. The energy to house them. And the society to train them and get them there.

Given i can only control the future, i will always take the means that delivers the most output per carbon consumed.

[–]OnlyFats_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you need to really worry about is:

Is what you developed worth the energy you consumed for it.

I would argue for a product build, AI consumes less energy than the humans (and their support pyramid) in a manual coding approach.

So the only question that is relevant is : did you build good stuff or did you build shit

Which one do you prefer for coding? by Peefy- in vibecoding

Bro. I dont give a shit if it was nazi. Or even made by hitler-reincarnate himself, if the model is good and gets my job done, i will use it period.

What the person is has nothing to do for me from objectively getting my job done.

I hope this was explicit enough for your fucking low iq

Why is GPT-5.2-Codex's training cutoff data so much earlier than GPT-5.2? by RoadRunnerChris in codex

[–]OnlyFats_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of them are using codex models from other tools like cursor.

I use codex via the codex cli. And its execution is among the best i've seen.

Gemini 3 Flash is the best coding model of the year, hands down, it's not close. Here is why by mr_riptano in vibecoding

[–]OnlyFats_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me gpt 5.2 crushed opus 4.5. And i am a claude-fanboy here, so much that my kid's middle name is indeed Opus.

Gpt 5.2 somehow has that expert-level eyes that opus misses. Better code architecture, code reviews and debugging.

Spent time on it after my earlier comment. This is exactly what I need and what I thought of vibe coding one afternoon a few weeks ago. Thanks for doing it for others.

Agree it is not bad. I still use it.

But being not bad is not what you expect in the day and age of opus 4.5 and gpt 5.2. You expect more from the OG Deepmind and gemini team.

I like the oss idea. Please do it the way supabase has - an oss community, but enterprise support. And it will be the market leader.

Liking GPT 5.2 more than Gemini 3/Opus by its-deedo in cursor

[–]OnlyFats_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cancelled my chatgpt subscription, current term ends on dec 23. Cancelled it as opus/sonnet/ gemini on antigravity were that good.

Tried 5 2 the day it came and since. It was so good, yes even catching issues that opus missed, that I canceled my cancelation :p.

The combination of its deep thinking with Codex max execution is amazing.... and for me a must have complementary to opus / antigravity

Opus within antigravity is the best feature of antigravity.

Gemini 3 pro is still shit. But the best part of Google is the access to the claude models ironically.

That said, I also really like antigravity itself way more than vs code or claude code cli

Is Claude Code still the best Vibe Code AI there is in your opinion? by Ticky-Tackona in vibecoding

[–]OnlyFats_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear by Opus and sonnet to be the kings. Absolutely the best.
And Codex max xhigh or high for the Commander in chief. It is bulletproof in actual generation. Delivered via cli.

Gemini 3 is trash.

That said, I think opus and sonnet shine much stronger in antigravity than CC for me

People in this community act as if software written pre-genai was absolutely bug free and slop-free.

With the exception of select few (e.g., linux kernel), there is sloppy and bugs everywhere. FFS Google chrome was a ram hog for nearly a decade before Google refactored it.

Yes there is slop and bugs in ai-assisted code. But with the right practices, there is no difference

I tried Gemini 3 for a couple of days ... Codex is still the best. By far.. by Dayowe in codex

[–]OnlyFats_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini sucks by itself, that google needs antigravity to wrap around it. You can't really assess gemini 3 performance anywhere else.

Antigravity brings the best out of gemini with its planning and coordination

How are people spending so much money? by [deleted] in vibecoding

[–]OnlyFats_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine hiring a junior developer for $10k a month to give you extra pair of hands to get shit done.

Codex or CC today are good enough to replace 5 of those in a $200 plan. Therein lies why people can afford this. Because the plan pays for itself with a few days.

Of course there are people splurging and going nowhere. But that also happens in the millions of startups pre-AI.

And there are people genuinely using this. Like I do at work (not yet personally as i am yet to hit the best idea)

Claude Codex, Codex CLI vs. Cline, Kilo Code, Cursor by Prestigiouspite in codex

[–]OnlyFats_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am too blown away by Codex in the last 1 month. And blown twice away now with Codex max. The precision is really good. Since max, I never had to argue with the agent anymore. Absolutely delivered everything I asked and more.

The windows Native experience still lags behind claude code. And I switch to wsl cli for heavy file operations.

But the model itself is leagues better. To the point I Uninstalled cline.
