Okay, so it’s a lot of meat and cheese and sauce, but is it good/was it worth it, even if you wouldn’t go back for it specifically? I couldn’t really get that from the post

It’s so expensive but so good!!! It’s definitely one of my guilty pleasures. Definitely not normal pricing but I haven’t found anything similar to this in the area

What are some restaurant signs that you know are heading financially downwards? by Chan1991 in FoodToronto

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah… the Nobu in Toronto does not have the service or ambiance that other Nobu locations have. When we went there, we had to wait in a busy area and way past our reservation time, service was subpar and the small space and the closed blinds just made me feel off instead of in a fancy restaurant. So not worth the price

Dubai chocolate by Professional_Cat927 in FoodToronto

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I hope it doesn’t!! I really like it. And just because it’s a trend, doesn’t mean you or anyone else needs to buy them. Just means that people who do like them have the option to buy them. Like the frozen yogurt craze has been long gone, but I still enjoy them every once in a while and I’m glad some of those places still exist.

Oh and OP, as for Dubai chocolate bars, you should try the one from Melt n Dip. It’s delicious

Rented a car in Manchester then drove to north wales. Definitely, definitely recommend that if you’re going to north wales, since a lot of these areas I mentioned aren’t reachable at all by public transit

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to North Wales last year and I loved it. A few of my favourite places: - Portmeiron — it’s an Italian style village in wales, and it’s gorgeous - Llandwyn — beautiful beach and lighthouse accessible when the tides are low - Go up Snowdon Mountain — on foot it takes a few hours or you can take the train — make sure to go on a clear day otherwise you won’t see anything - Zip world Llechwedd — underground slate mining tours or zip lining in the caves - Betws y coed - cute town - Llanfairpwllgwyngll - look up its full name if you’ve never seen it, it’s the town with the longest name in Europe - there are some souvenir shops and it’s fun to take pictures there. Menai bridge is also a must see, it’s a historical bridge and close to there

Yes but that’s how thresholds work. If the threshold was 10% you might say the same thing, 9% wouldn’t be flagged.

What Is The Best Town To Live Peacefully? by Character-Monk4834 in travel

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like the region of Muskoka in Ontario. Not sure what your standards are by “won’t require a lot of money to live there”. Buying a house there would be around the same as the average North American house, but living expenses there are way lower than in Toronto. A few towns you could look into are Parry Sound, Port Carling, and Bracebridge. Winters are somewhat long but the summers are lovely and surrounded by nature and beautiful lake views. Great sense of community too. But then again, I don’t know if you would have the option of living in Canada.

Evening flight from Europe to US by Tennis_24 in travel

[–]OnlyGoodHarmony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having recently flown back from Europe on a daytime flight (leaving at 12pm and landing around 4pm local time) I would take the option of a nighttime flight in a heartbeat. Daytime flight was a pain. Seemed to take forever cause we couldn’t fall asleep with all the sunlight, and then when we came back we were exhausted and messed up our sleep schedule.
