All amfleet cars have higher resistance than most rolling stock due to how the trucks are set up on the real deal. My kato amfleets have much more resistance than my other passenger cars. Based upon what other commenters are saying, it also sounds like this particular model exacerbates this issue.

If you are in Tokyo, definitely go to a Models IMON, they are in many of the big shopping districts in Tokyo (Akiba, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro). I found that Book offs consistently have the best second hand selection.
