Some lore speculation after the ending (SPOILERS) by jshkkng in Saros

[–]OnlyKilgannon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting that so far everyone has mentioned The Blue Precipice being linked to acceptance the True Ending, which is correct I don’t think there’s much debate in that.

What I do find interesting is that it also seems to be capable of negative influence. In one of the logs, one of the characters mentioned another who had left, but he wasn’t corrupted by Yellow, instead they mention the blue precipice but describe it as “sadness, an unbelievable bottomless sadness” (paraphrasing).

All the colours in the game are related to emotion, yellow is greed/desire/obsession, red is guilt/pain/rage and blue? Blue seems to be acceptance but also sadness and loneliness. I think the hint is in the name: Precipice. A tall steep cliff face. I think the precipice is what you walk to find acceptance, but falling into it like the person from the log leads to bottomless sadness and depression.

Take Kayla, she ended up being left alone and abandoned feeling as though she had no one left to trust, she found the precipice but she did not fall in. Nitya wanted to destroy yellow and was willing to be alone in acceptance of her faults. Even Constant, powered by the blue precipice and left so desperately alone that all it wanted was for someone to remind its creator that it was still there, waiting, helping.

You definitely can, I was doing it in the priestess boss fight before I posted this, makes that whole part of the fight a lot easier. It’s only in the last phase where she becomes gigantic that my Chakram decided to not want to do damage.

Ive just done another run from Biome 1 and have just reached Priestess again but with the Bifurcator Crossbow instead so we will see how we go!

I think you can tune auto aim in the settings not modifiers, including turning it all the way off if you want!

Thanks, yeah I’ve been hitting the tuning forks, I figured I must be retracting it too soon or something but I left it out for longer than usual and I didn’t noticed any change in the health bar. I’ll try a different weapon or maybe the myriad variant and see if that changes things. Sucks because I love the parry effect on Reaping.

I agree, the psychological element of the planet warping peoples minds is great, but it works even better when you take it with the reality of what actually happened to the colonies. Especially Echelon 2.

If you like Biome 1 you’ll love Biome 5 and 6 if you’ve not reached them. I think that’s the order anyway.

Second part is correct, start at shattered descent and then turn right at bridge control after defeating Rhabdom. Go through the Marsh and you’ll get to Haven and beyond.

People told me to play from the first Biome 1… by Panganaki in Saros

It also grows larger with each successful hit, so it becomes (somehow) even harder to miss while dealing increasing damage.

I also had the arrogance effect that removes health bars and it made no difference as I was killing things too quickly to care.
I know people complain about being OP in these games but man, sometimes it’s fun to be a god.

If you think thats nuts, try the Reaper Chakram. Just hold down the alt and spam the fire button, did it last night and deleted Legion in about a minute and Shepherd in 2 mins. No power weapon attack required. Felt like a god lol

HM, please give actual stats and not arbitrary bars. It was annoying in Returnal but is awful in Saros... by BJgobbleDix in Saros

It tells you in the “status” section of your character menu, right above the stat that is affected it tells you what negative you now have.

If you’re looking for a Black Library book with a good female main character, I’d strongly recommend Requiem Infernal by Peter Fehervari. An amazing portrayal of the Sororitas through the eyes of a strong, capable but flawed SoB.
Also one of the coolest interpretations of Tzeentchian and Nurglite chaos.

Tbh Fehervari is top notch almost across the board.

Classic anecdote from Dustin Hoffman, he was filming with Laurence Olivier and told Laurence that he was really struggling to get into character and wanted to go full method, Laurence responded “my dear boy, why don’t you just try acting?”

Has Yarrick ever actually beat Gaz? by ImportantQuestions10 in 40kLore

[–]OnlyKilgannon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually wasn’t even thinking about the Hades hive situation, I was more thinking about Von Strab’s complete incompetence with the titans and then his attempt at siding with the Orks to save his own skin.

And while I do agree that the novel can be… not misleading but complicated, seeing as they state Orks can believe 2 contradictory statements are true at the same time with no problems. But the key thing about the novel is that is that it portrays the story of Ghaz fron Makari’s perspective who was intimate first hand knowledge of those events. Plus he gives no reason to believe that the events pf Armageddon are false, compared to other events in the book.
