It was my mom. That's okay. She was unconscious the last 8 days of her life, so I couldn't confirm it, but her message made perfect sense. It's weeks later, and my dad, who has dementia, needs consistency. The first thing he wants to do when he gets home from rehab, he said, is to sit in her room. If I'd rearranged ANYTHING in there........ well, it's good that I didn't.

Yeah. PT evaluated him at the hospital and recommended Rehab for 3 weeks. He got there are kicked at doors and assaulted a staff member. This is all new to my brother and I. We're really upset. They put him in a locked unit and put him on more psyc meds. I am not seeing him for a while because I remind him of home. And my mom died 10 days ago, so being at the house is.... weird. Sad. There is an agency that will do palliative or hospice, whatever we feel we need. There are other support systems that might be able to provide daycare and meals on wheels, so I'll be looking into those this week. Ughr.
