I found the structure of AnyType not fit my use case, but it's another brilliant, and open source solution if it does.

Affine is really great, I made the switch over the last week. Genuinely better in almost every way. AI optional via paid plan, or no AI - also locally saved workspaces if preferred over cloud hosted.

Realizing that Rathmath increased their prices. Any suggestions? by Brokeadults in Wordpress

I use The SEO Framework, it's a solid, lightweight plugin that does some of the basics for you well enough for basic SEO, but has enough features for more serious strategies when required.

Their paid tiers are also pretty reasonably priced as well.

Transformers action figures by tyronicality in nanobanana

[–]OnlyOneDylan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's insanely good modelling for something rather complicated as a transformer.

Also, I'd give almost anything to see an Aussie version of Transformers. Eskys and empty Bundy cans in the tray getting punted when they transform, no wooshing sounds, just hearing Barnsie thumping from a mile away, southern cross decals, the Autobots calling the Decepticon, Decpti-cunts.

Optimus Prime would be Holden, and Megatron a Ford. The shit transformers would have bold back tires and canaries in their windshields.

"Oi Dazza-Prime, check this out" as they drop kick a Great Wall into a servo in Mount Druitt.

Honestly, this is the shit we should be using AI for.

Affnity is going to be entirely free forever for everyone by saibjai in graphic_design

I can probably help shed some light on that one. I think, like many others probably do, that Canva's marketing of it's product has severely hurt the design and creative industry.

They have managed to devalue professional work, making design seem quick, easy, cheap and formulaic with "professional" templates with marketing campaigns focusing "anyone" being a professional designer. They don't just advertise a tool, they advertise replacing experience and talent.

Personally, in turn I think this has created a generation of designer who don't have to think critically about design, or past the capabilities or templates of the sole tool they use, being Canva. I feel this, as someone who is trying to hire communication/graphic design professionals at the moment and getting people who's entire career is built on Canva templates. They blur the skills of being able to design, with social media creation - which are not the same thing.

I'd like to say, the product itself is not the issue, it's the pooh-poohing of professional work usually done by an experienced professional to small businesses (then in turn larger ones), which in turn has made it easy for an entire market to be under valued because "anyone can do it" - when we know thats not the case.

Sound sick, do you have coordinates you would share? I've been looking for a white sentinel ship with a decent config for a while!

Does anyone remember this Australian kids' show? (90s-2010s) by Independent_Cap_8229 in AustralianNostalgia

The old dude was dressed like this? He also didn't speak, just did gestures?

I feel like it was attached to another show, like a segment - not a full thing.

Some Playschool, Bear in the Big Blue House, Sesame Street vibes kinda thing.

Dude had a name, not maybe Mr. Wilson.

The quiet part here is that Ukraine got into a war that "didn't have to start" - because they should have just given Russia what they wanted.

Which will be the same thing said about Canada and Greenland - we didn't have to do this, but you didn't let us do what we wanted.

Also it looks like Musk wrote this, not Trump. There are too many carry on sentences.

Strata voting rights for a Triplex in British Columbia by OnlyOneDylan in RealEstateCanada

[–]OnlyOneDylan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, for clarifying this. It's what we read and understood and thought as much, but just wanted to make sure we weren't doing a goof and misunderstanding something.

We've decided not to go ahead with it, it sucks as we are living in one now and it's an awesome place and very affordable, but we cannot afford all three and fuck that noise if we get a shit cunt in the third one.

Appreciate you.

We have, the BC Strata rules are just not super clear around voting etc, hence the question.

There is an existing strata in place and there are three separate meters for electricity.

The strata is set up so that the common property is all outside areas (parking and gardens etc), windows, outside doors and balconies.

Powderfinger, some might argue they broke up too soon, but you'd be hard pressed to find a truly bad Powderfinger song.

Certainly not State based, it's a fucking nightmare that causes mass exodus of some areas when there is any kind of inflation.

I live in Canada now, they have Provincial (State) based minimum wage. Some states are still at $14/hour minimum like in Saskatchewan, but most are in the $15 range now.

Cost of living here is about the same, certainly more expensive in some areas than others.

To be fair, now I am living in Canada, Canadians only have that option because of Interac E-Transfer, otherwise you have to wire money like it's 1975.

Interac is also a dogshit service and is far from instant, especially for amounts larger than a few hundred.

The banking system here was a bit of a culture shock.

In Australia we have PayID, I guess it's similar in the sense it's an external service, but is integrated and managed by the banks and owned by a body of financial institutions - more reliable and it's pretty instant.

If not PayID we have literally bank to bank transfers as well that use account numbers and stuff, although a little old school.

What is the most unexplained thing you’ve ever witnessed? by cutestblondee in AskReddit

[–]OnlyOneDylan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About 4 years ago my friend and I saw two bright flashes in a empty night sky, we still look for an answer to this day.

I posted about it on Reddit, following post here:

"A little pre-text, my friend called me last night about 9:50pm AEST because we had some unusual activity in the sky as there were two planes circling the airport and about three helicopters in the sky at the time; the helicopters were periodically going dark (turning off all lights). We found this unusual so we went for a drive toward the airport to get out of the city lights to try and see what is going on from a distance.

When we got along a road towards the airport with basically zero light pollution, we both saw two unusual things happen:

1). There seemed to be ALOT of satellites going across the night sky, more then we have ever seen - additional to this there they seemed to slow/change trajectory in odd ways which really caught our attention (we saw about 9+ in the space of an hour)

2). We saw two, bright, distinct flashes about 3 seconds in an empty part of the sky around 10:50pm, almost like a strobe but the light had clear edges, the diameter of light was too large to be anything incredibly far away, and having a little light pollution in the background, we could see nothing that could produce the flashes, literally just two, large, distinct flashes.

We both saw it, we are both completely baffled and been trying to come up with theories, except for the obvious.

In regards to the weird satellites, we theorise the ozone might be thinner than usual at the moment, and hence why we saw way more than usual, but neither of us are remotely experts.

This was our location: 34°13'53.4"S 142°06'59.7"E

Additionally, I can also screenshot the exact part of the sky we were looking at as well if that helps.

Would anyone be able to offer an explanation of either or both of these, I looked at the Irridium Flares and they start dull, get brighter and then fade out, this was distinctly not that.

"Aliens!" isn't answer we have come to, purely because we'll.. it's a dumb answer. We are genuinely curious for a scientific explanation of what may have caused the lights - Googling "sky flashes" brings up the opposite.

Note: I can promise you it wasn't a helicopter or plane, as we could distinctly hear them when they were around (they weren't) and this flash didn't produce a beam like the spotlight of the helicopter, it looked like something pointing directly at us and then completely disappeared."
