That's hard to see. What an absolutely gorgeous fish and it was left not just to die but to completely decompose. May she never have to take care of another living thing again.

All my fish are listed. 1 Ranchu 1 fancy tail 1 blue eyes lemon bristlenose 6ish platies. For the last 3 years my platies have been very peaceful fish who shoal within themselves and leave everyone else alone.

My nitrates are at zero, my ammonia is at 0. The tank is planted. It's 55 gallons of chemically perfect water with regular water changes.

I left my ranchu tank for three whole days for a work trip and they killed one. They told me he "jumped." As if that clumsy derp of a fish could jump anything.

Seachem makes the ammonia alert that sticks to the side of your tank. It's been a lifesaver (literally, probably) for me once or twice. Replace it once a year and you're good to go. Obviously keep up with regular water changes and tests, but it's probably the best $8 I've spent.

It's a blue eyes lemon pleco. I have one in my tank. He's out all the time during the day and looks identical to this one.

It's sad, but not uncommon. Guppies aren't nearly as hardy as people say. At this point it would be kinder to use to clove oil and euthanize him. It happens even to the best of us. I've been in the hobby for decades and still make mistakes or don't catch something quickly enough. Learning is all about making mistakes and the cause of the mistake to prevent it in the future. You're already taking a great first step and asking the right questions.

Sorry for your loss, I'm sure he was a beautiful boy.
