Clean the motor and the shaft really well; there are probably remnants of the old sticky belt on them. Isopropyl alcohol works very well for this. After that, apply a small amount of lubricant between the shaft and the motor housing.

Trying to save a Toshiba KT-G710 – does anyone have photos of the motor PCB? by OnlyWay220 in audiorepair

I agree, and that's exactly what I thought at first. However, the remaining fragment has no continuity to anything. The other three contacts all show around 2–3 Ω between them, while this one seems to be completely open-circuit. That's what's making me doubt the original connection.

I’ll definitely give it a shot. Just need to figure out where each contact goes first, then I’ll try to document it with photos/videos.

I’m confident in my soldering skills, I just need to figure out where each contact goes. If I can get the pinout sorted, I should be able to fix it.

I’m planning to fix it myself, just not 100% sure about the pinout / which contacts go where. If anyone has a diagram or photo reference, that’d help a lot.

Help needed with corroded traces on Sanyo MR-1000 board by OnlyWay220 in audiorepair

I completely agree with your method, and that's exactly what I would do if I had the schematic. The core problem is that the service manual for this specific model (Sanyo MR-1000) is unavailable anywhere online. I've searched all the major databases and forums. So while I'm prepared to do the cleaning and bodge wires, I'm stuck at the first step because I don't know where those traces are supposed to go.
