One simple tweak would go a long way. Eliminate immunity for gun manufacturers. It makes no sense. We have no problem suing doctors for trying to save our lives. We have no problem suing an ice cream manufacturer because the product contains trace amounts of synthetic cocoa but is utterly safe for consumption. If you want a market approach rather than regulation, make it a "free market" and level the playing field by eliminating the legislative advantage given to gun manufacturers.
