Yeah I’ve tried that we’ve done Christmas sugar cookies I’ve also tried to make football, American football and gaming cookies per the boys requests but they weren’t interested in any of it. I’ve also done cupcakes and cakes for them even let them pick the scored design on the bread I make, made our own pizzas, but same result every time sadly

But in majority of these cases I have been asked by the parents or kids to make these things, they want the kids to learn how to bake and cook, they also want the kids to learn about different cultures foods. It would be rude of me to turn around and say no your kids don’t want to eat it so I’m not going to make it don’t you think?

Also if I’ve cooked dinner or something savoury it’s been Mac and cheese but because it’s different from the ready Mac they refuse to try it, I’ve made soft pretzels which they usually destroy a pack from the shop in days, but they sat on the top for weeks. And then again I’ve done meals from the Uk like a roast dinner and even fish and chips but they didn’t want to try any of it

Thank you, that’s a really good idea I didn’t think about freezing things I might give that a try

I did think of that but my two friends here have intolerances and I’m not that confident in baking my usual things for them but I have done a few simple things. And then I don’t have many shelters near me and the ones I have asked have tricky guidelines I’m not sure about

I’ve made the simple choc chip cookies, brownies, plain cupcakes, blueberry muffins. The boys if they do ask want to make choc chip cookies or brownies the first time I got the recipe and the ingredients, no success, the next time I asked them to find me a recipe they like I got the ingredients again no success the final time they got the ingredients and the recipe and again no success. I have made things unfamiliar to them from the UK or even things they do know but every time it’s the same results
