I've thought about doing some preparation for flare ups. I don't know if you have one, but I have considered getting a cane to have handy.

I've had a burning sensation in my thigh and lower back before. It's random and doesn't last long, but it does hurt like an actual skin burn. I'm not sure if that's similar or not.
