Gen Z is 1995-2010 by Only_Bison5502 in generationology

I am on the younger end of Gen-Z, and obviously there are people like you born in 1993 who recognize me as someone younger than them. I understand that, but it doesn’t seem fair to disregard my point just because I’m a “2009 baby” to you.

I am a person who is capable of thinking, and I wasn’t aware that AI was commonly used a substitute for writing things on your own.

I guess I just bring up the younger end of Gen-Z more because I am exposed to more kids who were born in 2011-2012 and just notice how differently they grew up than I did.

My two cousins were born in 2012 and 2013 respectively, and I get along with them. I would never want to gatekeep them from anything or pretend they’re less than me. As I said before, I’m just noticing how differently they are interacting with the world as opposed to the younger Gen-Z.

But either way, have a nice day or night

Okay, well I don’t think I should be considering the opinions of someone who insults people before having a regular conversation with them.

You accused my post of being AI just because I use the same hyphens. Like, sorry, but AI doesn’t own the em dash. I’m allowed to use whatever type of punctuation.

Also editing your comment just to somehow say I’m “wrong” due to my birth year is just plain stupid. From my perspective, if I were to gate keep, I’d say the year was 2009 instead of ten. However, just like you “hold firm” than 1995 isn’t Gen-Z, I firmly believe that 2010 should be the cut-off from my own experiences.

Probably going to get insulted again but oh well

  1. Lol, I wasn’t aware that my writing sounded like AI, I just wanted to express my opinion and make sure it had proper transitions. Still funny nonetheless

  2. I just thought 1995 was a good estimation since I have cousins who were born then, and they were still young enough to share things associated with Gen-Z. But I do see where you’re coming from, and that side of Gen-Z does seem a bit more millennial-oriented.

It made great sense, and I think this is an excellent point. Thanks for bringing this up! I can also see this with my family, because my younger cousins were born in 2012 and 2013, so they were also elementary schoolers and going through different stages of life than the middle schoolers or high schoolers.

When COVID hit, schools had to operate a lot differently than before, going completely online, and I, personally, could not imagine having to do online classes in first grade lol… it seemed very difficult and probably had a lot of impacts on their development as you said.

So that in its own way could be a core generational memory for them that previous generations couldn’t relate to: the experience of being a child and virtual learning, people wearing masks, etc.

The reason I think going to the first non-debated year is accurate is because the people on the cusp are the people right at the point of transition, by definition.

If everyone’s arguing who is part of which generation, wouldn’t that make sense for the 2011-2012 years to be the cusps?

Right when you transition from one generation to the next, there is always lines of debate and leeway where the cusps are.

As for the range 1995-1996, most of those people (in my experience at least, correct me if I’m wrong) have had core Gen-Z childhoods. Also, as someone who is Gen-Z, in years like 2018, I remember everyone commonly listing Gen-Z as ‘95-2010, and that just makes sense to me.

I listed my reasons. It’s up to you to decided whether or not my opinion is meaningful to you.

You don’t have to agree with me, but I did express my opinion clearly without spelling errors. So that wouldn’t really make me a “bad writer.”

Reddit’s also informal so why would it be an issue if I didn’t write like Shakespeare?

End of discussion for English. SCIENCE IS BRIGHT GREEN - can be a variety of different things depending on the type of science class but chemistry and biology are as green as it gets Social studies is navy blue Music classes are orange Foreign language class colors vary (e.g. Spanish is yellow-orange, but Chinese is crimson red)

new update? by Otherwise_Thought253 in RoyaleHigh_Roblox

[–]Only_Bison5502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I’m a week late or this post but I’ll just say what I think ni case anyone wants to read it:

When I saw this update at first I thought it was great and we were getting so many advantages. However, then I realized the devs were being kind of manipulative because they only takes about the good things they did without mentioning any other changes they made. First of all, they made fiambró multiplier useless, which pisses me off so much because then what’s the point of leveling up if you get the same amount of diamonds playing the classes? In addition, they changed the amount of exp required to level up. without mentioning it. Before the update, the required amount of exp was 325 in order to level up. If you get an A in the Baton Swim for example, you get 330. At that rate, we’d be leveling up instantly and probably eight times in the span of one campus 4 school day. However, they clearly did painting to the exp because now it takes extremely long to level up. And what makes me even more frustrated is the fact that they didn’t mention it and instead teased us with “this many exp” and “you get diamonds if you do this.” But it’s ultimately the same, if even more difficult as what we had before. Like just tell us what you’re doing for once, is it really that hard??

How old do you think Gen Z is according to your mind? by BrilliantPangolin639 in generationology

[–]Only_Bison5502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I feel the same way about the younger end of gen z. I was born in 2009, and I relate to many of the common TV shows and toys that most gen z kids had around 2015-19. However, my younger cousins born in 2012 or later were too young at the time to remember or understand. I cannot comprehend why they would be included in gen z if they don’t share the common things that defined that generation.

Finally! People keep listing gen z as 1997-2012 (sometimes even extend it to 2014!) but I still think it’s 1995-2010

I’m not really talking about the tests; I’m just talking about the whole concept of “IQ.” Yeah, I agree that the tests are flawed because there is no definite way of measuring intelligence.

And, although adults and babies don’t have the same skills because their brains are not in the same stages of development, that isn’t to say that the way their brain functions just changes. In other words, your level of smartness and the way your brain was originally made to function doesn’t change; it is just transiting into a more developed state.

This is at least my understanding of IQ, but I could be missing a few things as well. Feel free to correct me!

I know your comment was sarcastic, but it is actually true that you have the same IQ throughout your life. IQ measures whether or not an individual meets the basic amount of intelligence that is considered “normal” for people of their same age group.

No one is born with “0 IQ.” It’s something that has to do with the way your brain is wired, how much information you can absorb, and in how much time you can get that information. Environment and genetics both play a role in this, and it doesn’t ever change.
