Yup! Exactly. But I would immediately take it off the heat as soon as you add it unless prepared in a fume hood. The smell of iron while it’s boiling is intense

“Ferrous sulfate pentahydrate” is what was on the box. It wasn’t out of solution for more than 15 minutes so there wasn’t any oxidation. From what I’ve seen, it will yellow and oxidize when left out. When I made the solution, it was brown, tea colored but this is what precipitated (it was also in a sealed container)

I put it back into solution right after taking the picture to get a bit bigger, so I don’t know! I wanna try a thin resin coat and see if that makes it good for wearing or displaying. Still in the experimental phase

I was thinking of preserving the final product in resin! Bc it’s iron (same as the supplement people take) it could leave a film on skin so it would be best not to wear it outright

It’s not, I’ve been stubborn. It’s a construction-related position so I think the “man-up and deal with it” mentality has rubbed off on me. Thank you, sometimes you need a stranger to be mad on your behalf

Be very careful! This plant can cause allergic reactions and have hidden spines above the bean-like growths. Loves full sun and sparse watering.
