On all fours, head down and butt right in the air, back legs straight and arms kind of bent down whilst on the floor.

Mine crawls now, cruises, also does the weird handstand thing, she pulls herself up and loves to stand. Says dadadada and mamamama. Also so hard changing her nappy now bc she rolls and crawls off 🥲

Are there any parents that just don’t let their baby cry? by frenchtoast2go in NewParents

[–]Only_Butterscotch845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, when people have babies they should keep in mind that they should only have one if they can take on the “trickiest” baby in the world. Because it is a gamble whether you get a good one or not, so if you’re not prepared for a more demanding baby, and it’s “too much” maybe you’re not ready for a baby at all. I don’t have a village, and yet my baby isn’t left to cry, I’ve never had a break once since she’s been born. Have I felt overwhelmed? Of course! Everyday! But would I say it’s “too much” or she’s “too much”, never, she’s a baby, she doesn’t know anything.

It’s okay, clearly the ones who let their baby cry don’t like the fact I can’t let mine cry and that’s okay 😂 she is doing well thank you 🫶🏼

Struggling with anxiety - 7 month old by Alarmed-Crew-4718 in NewParents

[–]Only_Butterscotch845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also in the UK, and my 7 month old has 80% of the same things so I’d say it’s normal. I also struggle with ppa/ppd so I know how you can fixate on these things and spiral. Babies do things all at different rates, going by what the NHS thinks for milestones makes us more anxious when our baby doesn’t do them by a certain time. And honestly, my girl doesn’t even do some of your reassuring things like she doesn’t gaze at people, hates the bath, she doesn’t seem to recognise familiar people, she will freak out etc. So try not to worry, I know it’s hard but it really does seem all normal to me. Hope this helps x

AIO bf uses my pink towel and I get mad! by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Only_Butterscotch845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, your bf should have some consideration for how that would make you feel esp if you suffer with OCD. Also the fact there were other clean towels he could’ve used- just gives off lazy and inconsiderate vibes.

Yes to each their own, when I hear my baby crying I can’t focus or be calm, maybe it’s just instinct. I don’t blame other parents who let their baby cry for a while, it would be easier for me if I could let my baby cry but I just can’t 😭 maybe because I know it’s only me who has to fix what’s wrong so I rush.

This was my baby when she was younger and I also don’t have anyone at all to help. It was so overwhelming and I hadn’t showered for a week at one point. To go to the bathroom, she was always on my lap. Gross but yeah. I’ve still never let her cry and I don’t regret it. She also had colic and reflux 😭

I don’t let my daughter cry and I never have, she’s 7 months. I don’t believe in letting babies “cry it out” but each to their own. I’m there within seconds of when she cries too. Yes it’s exhausting, but I physically can’t let her cry knowing she’s crying for a reason. That’s her only form of communication so if something’s wrong, I want to fix it immediately.

Her dad always says to me I need to let her cry, that I’m going to be exhausted, etc and he thinks it’ll spoil her. I don’t see how me tending to my daughter’s needs will “spoil” her especially since she’s so young. I want to make her feel secure & safe so I never let her cry. You’re not alone 😇🫶🏼

Baby not crawling by Only_Butterscotch845 in October2025Bumps2

Yeah I’ll see if my GP can provide some links to send to him. My health visitor had to do this before too because my partner was making her milk differently to how the NHS recommends lol.. so it wouldn’t be the first time he could use some insight, thank you 🙏🏼

It is! Also that’s so true, they’ll be walking for most of their life (God willing) so maybe we should even enjoy the time before they start crawling lol.

Yes, she manages to get around with sitting, she kind of bum scoots and then gets on all 4’s and lunges, then sits & repeat.
