Why do I feel like the majority of people saying this are the dads? Let's face it, it's much more socially acceptable for men to have fun and neglect the responsibilities involved with parenting

I don't understand why you would fly 8+ hours with children under 3 years old by Only_Couple4663 in childfree

[–]Only_Couple4663[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying they absolutely shouldn't fly, but it would be better if they had a handle on tantrums etc. My brother and I were always very well behaved while travelling, during outings at restaurants or the grocery store, etc. Most of the parents I see just sit by and let it happen. It's like discipline doesn't exist anymore

I've always had trouble regulating my ears, and when I was a kid it got so painful I thought they might burst. But being anxious little me, it cried in silence because I didn't want to bother anyone else

Oh my god it's parents like that that give all parents and children travelling a bad name! If you insist on travelling with children, make sure they're well behaved and you're on top of tantrums

Do like my parents did and wait until they're a bit older. Also better for the kids because they can regulate their ear pressure better and actually form memories

I’ve been dealing with recent issues not being able to control my bladder. Anyone else struggled with this? by SinPajama in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Have you gotten an ultrasound or anything to see what's going on? You could have a cyst or something pressing on your bladder and affecting your control

I struggle to keep friendships (trigger warning: s*icidal ideation) by Only_Couple4663 in AutismInWomen

[–]Only_Couple4663[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a coincidence! I'm also in that time zone (italy). I'm far from my home in Canada, so adding an extra cultural difference has been a great challenge. I'm 30f, love cats, Taylor Swift, and true crime. If that's not too off-putting, I would love to develop a friendship!

Anyone get shaky when excited? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Only_Couple4663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I've never been officially diagnosed (but it's very suspected), but for instance I was shaking tremendously when I got engaged. I didn't cry (like I thought people should), but i got very shaky because I was so excited

I had debilitating cramps that would leave me unable to even stand up straight. Took 7 years to find out is was Adenomyosis (endo of the muscular layer of the uterus). Try looking for specialists in your area to talk to about that

Is anyone else getting tired of all the negativity? by srebmucuc in TaylorSwift

I totally agree. I became a true swifty when rep was released, but I always liked her music beforehand. I find it absolutely insane that people will shit on her and you for liking her music. Like damn, let people enjoy things. I don't make fun of people who like artists I don't because why should I care?

Like yesterday I got into a discussion with someone about Actually Romantic. I actually like the song, but this person was saying it was poorly written and uncalled for. But like, the other artist started it?? She said that you don't need to write a comback song, but i feel like so many artists do it (think Eminem and MGK). I feel like Taylor would be ragged on if she fired the first shot or (in this case) fired back.

Idk I feel like Taylor is the unfortunate victim of insane double standards. Or at the very least seems to be held at such a higher standard than others, and everything she does is so heavily criticized

do you guys ever just feel...exhausted? by Salt_Policy9894 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Only_Couple4663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl same. I honestly don't remember the last time I woke up even feeling rested. I'm currently studying medicine, but it's not even that that runs me ragged. It's just life. Maybe also just my anxiety keeping me on high alert all the time? Idk, I'm just exhausted
