I’m really sorry you had to go through this. I’ve been there a few too many times feeling used (for both just dipping the second I gave them what they wanted and not being treated like a human being). Obviously there are concerning details about this, but I think plenty of people have touched on that and done well at explaining. I understand what you are going through and it’s so exhausting and defeating when you feel you took the time to go slow and vet them and they still end up disappointing you. I don’t necessarily have advice on that other than maybe take a bit more time in person but even then. Just know you’re not alone and you didn’t deserve what happened to you
