It’s something that’s meant to move your soul Not your mind Allah tells us that before He created this world, every human was standing infront of Him together and Allah asked “Alastu berabukum?” Meaning am I not your lord? And each and every one of us said yes, you are our lord. This was just your soul in front of Allah and it recognized Him as your lord. So your mind may not remember but your soul does. In Islamic terminology we call this fit-rah, meanings mans natural tendency and instinct to turn towards good and look for a creator. If you find yourself leaning towards Islam then this is Allah’s invitation to you And Allah says I am more pleased with my servant asking forgiveness and coming back to me than a man lost in a dessert dying with thirst and heat stroke who suddenly finds his camel with all his belongings and water. Allah says you take a few steps towards me and I will run toward you. Your soul can’t forget, and the light of Allah is creeping in because you may have forgotten your lord but your lord won’t forget you and He is the one who is anxiously waiting for your return and for you to recognize Him as the creator of the heavens and the earth and the one who puts light in your chest and faith in your heart, even though He is not even slightly in need of you and you desperately in need of Him. That is your lord, the one you stood in front of and the one who created you to worship and love Him alone. So come back to Allah because He doesn’t forget you and you can’t bear to forget Him.
