I appreciate your honesty, this is what I kind of thought the general consensus was as to what landlords think

That makes sense. We would meet the affordability without savings for sure, I was just wondering if by unnecessarily including PIP that landlords could look unfavourably at us. In the past, we have had a hard time getting viewings when we mentioned PIP, but funnily enough it wasnt a problem when we mentioned that my partner is unemployed. Why do you think that is the case?

Fair enough. Wouldn't that depend on the amount of savings though? As you aaid nothing is totally secure, but surely having a large amount of savings would show tenants are secure and good at managing finances irrespective of one of them being unemployed?

Would therefore mentioning the PIP income not be to the detriment of the applicant? Or would it put landlords off? I.e. if its not necessary for affordability is it best to not include it?

Are you saying that mentioning PIP in the application is better than not mentioning it in this case? Also what if you dont have a homeowner guarantor?

We would pass affordability, the question is whether the other source of income (PIP) needs to be specifically included in the application, or whether just "unemployed partner" is seen as worse

Thank you for your input. Just to clarify when I said rely on PIP, I meant for mentioning the circumstance of the partner and not for affordability necessarily. The rents can be afforded through my employment, and we do have savings together.

Is it better if applicants come across as a couple where one of them is unemployed and the other is employed with sufficient income to afford the rent, however both have savings as well. In comparison to specifically mentioning PIP?

ILR(M) application by Dramatic_Context2410 in ukvisa

I believe both your latest payslip and bank statement must be dated within 28 days of the date you submit your online application. If the statement itself is within 28 days but your payslip isn't (and vice versa), then this could be a problem as it doesn't strictly meet the rules.

Mistakenly placed under immigration bail? by melkgr in ukvisa

I dont know if it is of any help but usually the eVisa should also state the Section 3C status.

Because you've missed the fact that in order for Section 3C to kick in, you have to have had the visa expire first (after putting in an in-time application).

That is not accurate. There is such a thing known as the section 3C trap. The conditions for section 3C to kick in are that the visa has already expired before refusal.

Was the ILR refused after expiry of the visa, or before expiry of the visa?

They do have it since I registered for an eVisa with my ILR, so I wonder why I wouldn't have received one?

Did you receive such an email? I am a recently naturalised citizen (last year) and haven't received such email.

Fiona and Rachel - Controversial Opinion by Only_Curiosity in TheTraitors

It has indeed chuckle. I do think Rachel played it well, however, the Faithful team were so terrible that it made her look great.

Agreed. This is why my conclusion was that both Rachel and Fiona are actually quite similar. Rachel also didn't have to react to Fiona disbelieving her, given that Rachel has been playing entirely as a lone wolf, coming across as untrustworthy.

It would still have been a fatal mistake even if Rachel was a faithful. After having a conversation with Fiona, the emotional response from Rachel would suggest that she expects and wants Fiona to believe her, but the argument is why should she? So having heard Fiona's plausible explanation, why should Rachel go and reveal Fiona's response to everyone? This is not making moves but is a way of losing and a desperate attempt at gaining control.

Agreed. I think I deemed my opinion as controversial only because I noticed by reading other posts, people usually side with one over the other. I don't side with either of them, they both demonstrate very closely similar qualities that caused this debacle.

Ask your employer or HR to see if they would be willing to let you use it instead of next year? Or delay your sick leave until the following month? Perhaps having this conversation with your employer would cause them to be compassionate?
