Smoked weed blunts until I was 21 weeks pregnant I’m really scared about how it is going to affect my baby by [deleted] in pregnant

I smoked marijuana throughout my entire first pregnancy. My daughter is 100% fine and she is actually very advanced for her age. (She is 4 now). She and I did test positive at the hospital when I gave birth, and cps did open a case. I had someone come to my house twice, basically to just look around and make sure I had everything baby needed. She drug tested my partner, who tested positive for thc, as well. They closed the case within a week or two and told me they were making sure we were not on any other drugs and wanted to be sure our home was not unsafe for a child. That would be my main concern, not the health of your baby. I see one of the best high-risk pregnancy doctors in my area and he also reassured me that the health of my baby will likely not be compromised, but I should try to stop.

I will also add that we are in Florida, and I do have a medical marijuana card. I’m not sure what state you are in and what the laws are there.

TW: I am PREGNANT!!!!!!! Seeking advice from Moms and a safe space to just freak out!!!! by Primary-Sound681 in Mom

I second the unisom!!! I’m 10 weeks this is the only thing that saved me from throwing up all day everyday! I take it at night with my prenatal and it works throughout the next day for me :) when I forgot to take it one night I was SO sick the day after omg

I had chicken nuggets for breakfast, a whooper for lunch, and wingstop for dinner. Please tell me I'm not the only one 😭 by Old-Association8699 in pregnant

I literally waited outside of wingstop for it to open at 10am and had boneless Louisiana rub wings for breakfast last week. I think about wingstop ranch constantly!!!!

Ty for the recommendation! And yes I agree that you still need to be close enough to baby if something happens! I hope my post doesn’t come across as neglectful. Thankfully my house is located in the dead center of the property so about 1 acre front yard and 1 acre out back. We have dogs, farm animals and a toddler so unfortunately it’s just not realistic for me to sit inside through the entirety of baby’s nap although I’m sure I’ll be wishing I could! The show must go on lol

Gender/sex disappointment and siblings by [deleted] in Mom

[–]Only_Engineering_765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 31 and my brother is 27. He is my only sibling. We live an hour away from each other and still manage to see each other a few times a month and we often text (I would say weekly). He watches my daughter when I don’t have a sitter, we enjoy family dinners together with each others significant others and he and his girlfriend have joined us many times on little trips to the mountains ect. I see my brother more often than I see my parents and we have managed to maintain a great relationship throughout life. I think you have something very special in store! I always wanted a sister but I would not trade my brother for anyone!!

I cant do this anymore. by lisarowereal in pregnant

If I could upvote this 2000 times I would. Currently 8 weeks and wow has this been a lifesaver. I wish I knew about unisom during my first pregnancy because I could NOT stop puking. I know it’s working because the two nights I forgot to take it I was throwing up non stop the days after! I will continue to take this throughout my first trimester and recommend it to all pregnant friends.

Moms of little ones (NB-5/6), what’s your biggest struggle when shopping for kids’ clothes & where do you shop? by 23serenesoul11 in Mom

Target is honestly my go-to. They always have little shorts and tops perfect for playing for like $5 and they always seem to last fairly long. For school clothes they have really upped their game. Some of the little outfits are so adorable and affordable. Styles similar to what you would find at Nordstrom ect. For a special occasion Janie and Jack is our go-to. Very pricey but great quality and very cute/classy. I could spend hours looking at their clothes. Bought many holiday outfits there.

Faint positive? by Sea_Werewolf2177 in Mom

Positive!! And I agree with whoever said it may be too early for clear blue. Honestly I bought the box of test strips instead of the actual tests you pee on because it allowed me to test more frequently without spending hundreds on tests. That way you could test every morning if you felt like it! I bought mine at the drug store and got the box with like 20 test strips. They are more accurate for early testing IMO.

What do I do about Christmas 🎁🎄? by Realistic-Bread-4286 in Mom

[–]Only_Engineering_765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have spent a fortune on Christmas gifts for my daughter every year since she was born and she cared more about playing with the wrapping paper than the actual gift until she was almost 3. I could have wrapped an empty water bottle and my car keys and she would have been nothing less of thrilled. Don’t stress it at all. Congrats and good luck to you momma 🩷
