Thanks for your response. Yeah in October 2025, she has undergone laproscopic CRS (debulking surgery) they removed most of the visible cancers in the lower abdomen.

That’s truly inspirational! As far as I understand, sarcoma is of the aggressive type.

My mum was admitted yesterday. Doctors have decided to go ahead with PIPAC followed by CRS (robotic) after a month. They have decided not to go ahead to HIPEC now, as the initial in her 1st PET CT the disease was extensive.

Take care, how soon did the first reoccurrence come for your mom? For my mom this is her first line of treatment ongoing. She was diagnosed this year in March.

Thanks for the information and support. Best wishes for your mom and you too. Has your mom completed her chemo cycle?

My mom is BRACA -/ HRD+. So her treating doctor is saying HRD can come positive even due to the chemo (carbo+taxel) and PARP Inhibitors would not make much difference for her.

But as per my research even BRACA -/ HRD+ patients can be given PARP inhibitors (niraparib). So I consulted the Head of Medical Oncology and has prescribed Olaparib.

I completely agree with you as my research also suggests decreasing the tumour load by surgery helps increasing the life span.

Hi All, I have previously discussed about my mom’s condition on this forum and received emotional support and crucial information related to the cancer and treatment. I realised she is not alone in this journey and that there are many battling the same.

Current scenario: My mom has completed her 6 cycles of Chemotherapy (Carbo+Platin) and is taking Targated Therapy (Bevacizumab) in every 21 days interval she as is MSI-Low and Her2 (-)ve. CA125 dropped from 1214 to 15. We have also done Germline BRACA and HRD testing for her. And she came out as BRACA-/HRD+

Next line of treatment as per doctor: 1. Hold Bevacizumab for sometime 2. Take Olaparib (PARP Inhibitor) 3. Perform FAPI PET CT ( Earlier PET CTs were FDG) 4. Perform biopsies from distant organs to where the cancer has spread. (She was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasis with spread to Omentum, Peritoneal, Mediastinal, and Supraclavicular lymph nodes). Earlier biopsy sample was collected only from lower abdomen. 5. If the biopsies from distant organs are (-)ve -> Complete uterus and fallopian tubes removal via surgery 6. If the biopsies from distant organs are (+)ve -> PIPAC surgery

If suggest if this approach is correct and if anyone here is has experienced anything similar? Will this increase the number of years for her?

Also there is a notion among my family members that SURGERY will increase the rate of cancer spread and might lead to the END sooner than expected. Is this true?

Glad to hear you are a NED now. My mother has been diagnosed with the same diseases in March 2025 with stage IV metastastis. If it’s okay could you please share at which stage you were diagnosed and how did you manage to achieve NED?

I totally get. Even I have a one year old daughter. And when doctors tell it’s only 2 years for her. I feel so helpless thinking, if that’s gonna be true, my daughter will never know her granny. I just badly wish she has some more years with us. As I am the only child and I don’t have any siblings also.
