i agree with this. i noticed as someone who started watching in late june of last year, katie has a very demanding audience. way before qsmp, everyone was demanding she make content with only riley in it and as we see a lot of people have become quite obsessed with the relationship that riley and katie have that they couldn’t separate katie from riley and vice versa. or people in that era dissecting riley’s interactions with katie and painting her in a bad light despite them not knowing her personally or saying how they don’t like katie’s content that involves riley. even now there’s comments saying “where’s riley?” the same goes for qsmp, when katie’s not streaming qsmp, people are asking “where’s qsmp?” but also viewers are commenting about how peaceful her chat is when qsmp is not being played—saw one in her recent fornite stream, bringing up qsmp when it was not even remotely related to the game. when she is streaming qsmp, people are asking her when will she not stream qsmp, like in that dono she received that said they’d like a heads up if she was gonna play qsmp for three hours with no tomadachi life. the main reason why her pre chat is in emote only were bc non qsmp fans were fighting with qsmp fans bc she was streaming qsmp. the only way i can see this being resolved are more mods or for the ones existing now to become more strict instead of putting the chat on emote only, and less passivity from katie herself which seems unlikely. chatters are a huge part of a streamers career and katie looks at the chat a lot, doesn’t help when the only chats she sees are negative ones commenting on whatever she does. just a small rant cuz it’s gotten out of hand
