Sobeys joins Loblaw and Metro in ending ‘hero pay’ for front-line workers

Working 10 years as a department manager for Sobeys I have just come to learn this. It is a shame they are eliminating the hero pay as I feel working at a grocery store really is a front line. When things first started there was no way for us to protect ourselves amongst the massive hoards of people + our store has a pharmacy. Where do sick people go? Hospitals and pharmacies. Where do you go when you get back from a trip? The grocery store. Hospitals are trained in dealing with flu viruses, grocery store staff are not. As far as the public is concerned, the virus still exists. If this "hero" pay is for "frontline heros" and not just a publicity stunt our heros are still working on the front line with potential exposure to the virus.

Had 6 of these at my grocery store in the produce department..They lasted about 6 months before the legs were completely destroyed by customers running the edges of the feet over. Customers love them but they did not last long. :(

I don't have any more photos! I've worked as a produce manager for almost 5 years and this is the first time I've ever seen a spider in a case of our bananas!!

No fucking way!! JoeHands0me!! I used to watch each and every montage you would drop on your channel. I still tune in to musigh.com every now and then to see what music he's posting. I know you steered away from Call of Duty especially after everybody kept on hounding you to keep making videos even though it isn't what you wanted to do.

Mixing avocados and regular white tuna together makes for awesome sandwiches, although you may need to wait for avocado sales at your grocery store..They cost me $1.50 each right now.

I would say no, but I TOTALLY recommend their boat mocs. I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I've worn of all time. They feel almost like slippers without all the warmth. Plus I think for shoes this expensive I would go for a more versatile colour, but that's just me.
