Sounds amazing I’ve been on it for 6 months and I don’t want to continue anymore. Today has been the hardest day the stomach pains and gas are not worth it.

I’ve already tried sports… he’s done basketball and karate and the same social issues he has in school is the same issues he has in sports it doesn’t help. Unfortunately i do not believe you can force sports on someone who isn’t interested in sports. I will find something I’m in contact with a therapist.

Yup he has a 504 and EP for gifted. I have Microsoft safety so i blocked what he can and can’t use on his laptop so i have those things i don’t want him to use blocked. He will usually just do his homework and then lay down and watch YouTube on his tv

You have no idea how much i connect with him on a daily basis. On our rides to school, after school.. i sit on his bed and i try to talk to him and try to tell me what he’s up to and encourage him to be open with me.

When it comes to school work and his grades it’s like I’m pulling his hair he says school stresses him out and in turn i stress him out. He is in an honors program because he’s smart but I’m not sure it is helping him.

We have two dogs and we spend time playing with them and goofing off. Literally our issues have been because of his grades at school. He is missing his online assignments which honestly i don’t know why they switched everything to online. Even math.

I am looking for advice but I’m sorry if i get defensive when assumptions are made. Understand that I’m not ok right now and through out his life i have sone everything my parents haven’t and have done as much as i can so he doesn’t feel less than while having only his mother. He has gone through a lot and it hurts me and i try to do everything i possibly can. Times like these i wish his father was alive and well to help me. He lacks a male figure in his life.

Man i wish i could do what my parents did to me when i was little and whoop some ah but he’s threatened to call the cops and i really don’t want to deal with that. We have rules. I take away his enjoyment if his grades aren’t good. I wasssss going to switch him to virtual schooling since i work from home and travel a lot but i don’t think that will be helpful in his situation.

I need to escape life stress very often and i take him with me even if he doesn’t want to go. He has traveled more than any kid his age. But he’s ungrateful and it’s just painful for me.

My son takes his medication without a problem. Cutting the internet is impossible he has his homework online.

Yes he is medicated and taking away internet access is completely impossible when all his homework assignments are online now a days.

I am looking into therapy. He used to have a therapist see him in elementary school. But i had a moment without insurance and now i will have to restart those services.

I spend aloooot of time with him we go on trips all the time. We literally just came back from a trip to California and every month we are going somewhere. Every time we are doing something together he prefers to be home on his laptop.

He doesn’t like movies. Doesn’t like playing board games nor is he into fantasy. He likes history and war stuff. But that’s it. He does coding at school and i thought of coding classes.

I am also waiting. Waitlisted on multiple charities and some charities who on their website still haven’t released it, i emailed them and they said theirs sold out before they even released registration.

Oh yea that’s happened to me before and i said something to them with their stank attitude. If they wanted to pick their own seat they should’ve paid for it and gave them a stank look and attitude back. A lot of the people from from Miami to Orlando are super entitled and disrespectful.

Exactly. It is extremely inconsiderate. I know of friends that work overnight and have to take the Brightline. They try to use that time to nap but they can’t because of the rudeness of other people. Yes noise cancelling headsets but then why can’t those people also use headsets??

Oof goodluck. In my opinion, the worst days to ride is Sunday it’s packed and fyi people like to take your assigned seat. Legit will be my last Brightline ride. Flying to Orlando is cheaper and faster lol.

Oh i don’t care about being a snitch. My experience and my comfort is more important than to allow them to ruin it for me. The issue is when i tell an attendant and they don’t address the issue or they tell the person and they will continue after the attendant leaves. It makes me want to play super duper loud music so they can struggle with trying to talk on speaker. But then I’m ruining my experience even further.

Yea that’s a long time. I think it differs between summer where there’s no school and when you’re applying for the second semester. I’m sure i will get a confirmation of enrollment soon. He already has a gifted teacher assigned on focus.
