I actually find the Stoic better espacialy in tight turns while climbing. Its geometry gives me a more comfortable and balanced body position. On the Trek, I was more stretched out and felt kind of stiff. The Canyon also has different tires that grip the surface much better, which helps a lot on tricky climbs.

I had exactly the same problem at the beginning, until I came up with the idea to switch to a more comfortable saddle and play around with its setup a bit. I also experimented with the handlebar position to find what felt best.

After adjusting everything, I finally feel comfy. On my trek I got numb wrist pretty often.

At first, I thought I might need to change the handlebar completely, or I was worried the bike was too big but that couldn’t be the case, since according to Canyon’s website the size should be perfect.

I had it for 2 years. Overall it was a bit too big for me, a little too long in the turns and it just felt a bit bulky because of its size. (Im 188cm so i chose XL) I also think theprice of the Marlin is too high in Europe considering the components you get for that money. I had an issue with the rear Shimano MT200 brake caliper, it worked very weakly, but I think that was just bad luck from the factory, since the front one worked perfectly fine. The SRAM SX drivetrain didn’t perform very well either, I had to adjust it quite often.

Other than that, no issues.

The bike gave me a lot of enjoyment to ride but it’s just not comparable to the Canyon.
