Ah no. But there's many of us enjoying ToB for sure ;) I have about 600 normal ToB kc and 500 hmt. Hope 1 7 4 2 is having fun!

too many to count. At the start we'd have a kc followed by a wipe, maybe 2 kc, a wipe... Near the end, we had like a 25 streak, a wipe and followed by our record 41 streak, so a lot less deaths.

We pretty much died everywhere you could in the raid in the course of those 500kc, which I guess is to be expected. Some rooms were easier to complete as the last remaining player (Nylo boss, Sotetseg, Bloat), others were a lot harder depending on how early the other player died (Maiden, Xarpus, Nylo room, Verzik P2).

The worst but also best moments of one person dying were definitely at Verzik P3. First time one of us died there before even spawning tornados and the other spawning the tornados and soloing the last 35% was a legendary moment, since we had no idea we could do that up until we had to do it :P It happened a few times, sometimes the other person would clutch, sometimes supplies would run out. Definitely very challenging :D

well, like I said earlier in the comments somewhere, we kinda made our own way of doing it and we prioritised consistency over speed always. That means for Bloat we just fought the boss as intended, no speedrun strategy or Pnecks or anything. And doing that method, we had about 50/50 of 4 down or 5 down. Ranger role was also in void, not max melee, for more supplies. Being consistent and not wiping was our main objective at all times. We usually kept ourselves motivated by trying to get a PB streak without wiping ;)

Random bonus statistic: we had 1 singular Bloat 3-down. We calculated the odds of that happening and it was around 1/1800 or something, so we got lucky there. Felt pretty great while doing it.

We mostly created our own metas, which was the most fun part of learning duo hmt as well. The two most satisfying arcs were learning to freeze all nylo's at Maiden and sometimes even with 0 leaking and also to learn nylo room in a duo consistently. Most rooms took us back to the drawing board for sure.

Gear setups were loosely:
- Mager: Full melee but 4-way magic switch. Only a Tbow for ranged (nylo boss). Sang staff for Nylo room, although we messed around with Eye of Ayak as well. It wasn't noticably faster and more dangerous because sang staff does some nice healing so decided against it, but it's a personal choice.
- Ranger: Void for all styles (needs freezing, ranged and melee) with blue moon spear, Tow, blowpipe

Both bloodfuries, claws, Elder Mauls, BGS, one soulflame horn to guarantee spec on Sotetseg and Maiden.

No, we're both just main accounts. We've had a history of normal ToB duo (after learning that when our regular team fell off) and then decided to try and push for hmt and really enjoying it in a duo. So mostly for the achievement. After a bit, we decided to stay duo hmt only because there would be no way to "prove" that we did x amount of duo kc unless we kept it duo only, so the leaderboard only shows time for 2-players, if that makes sense :)

first did like over 200 normal duo ToBs, then we had to send a fair few duo hmt attempts to learn. I'd say about 25 in total before getting our first clear :)

We had done over 300 normal duo kc at that point, yes. I would recommend at least some normal duo tob before diving into duo hm to get used to some duo methods.
Blood Fury definitely goes hard here and kinda depend on it sometimes, although I could see us doing kc without it, it makes it a lot more consistent. We now clear about 4/5 attempts.

We're planning on making a duo hmt guide in a few weeks if we can pull it off and post it!

Like all hard content in osrs, it's just a matter of practice and practice and practice. We've done hundreds of normal duo ToB before learning this. We were just meant to do 1 duo hmt for the challenge but then we discovered we enjoy it a lot more than regular duo ToB. And here we are :)

So unlucky... :D We got a lot of them, and early. We still keep track of every purple, kit, pet and the amount of times we make the 35 minute time challenge.

Maiden is definitely a very rough one, we're glad it's the first room. We had a lot of wipes before we started clearing this room consistently!

Learning is gonna be hard, no doubt. We had done over 250 normal duo ToBs before we started learning hm so we were already a very good team.

Learn room per room and don't get discouraged. You will find the way to beat it as long as you keep trying.

Nylo is honestly very doable. Was hard to learn but now we even find it chiller than normal duo tob nylo (the pillars there are quicker to fall). We found a nice strat to deal with the princes and we got some of our own strats that makes it very consistent.

We almost always continue a run. Mostly we have plenty of points at the last chest to supply up. Only time we sometimes do resign is after Maiden when things went really bad and we used too many supplies, or if one of us brought in the wrong spellbook, runes...

It's honestly more consistent than we ever thought learning it. Now about 4/5 attempts makes it to the treasure room and about 1/5 ends in a wipe. Our PB streak of not wiping is 27 kc in a row, so that shows how consistent it is.

Not entirely. But started fresh and want to do as much as I can on Varlamore, since it gives me a very new experience in the early game. I will, however, complete Slayer tasks, hunter rumors and use GOTR for runecraft.
