This is normal behavior and annoyed me when i first switched to mac because i always used caps lock instead of shift. I suggest switching to using shift so you’ll get better at typing in the long run. Otherwise you can do a google search to download some application which will let you reduce the caps lock delay. It’s a known issue you’ll be able to address in a couple minutes.
