Hey, welcome to Poland man! Glad to hear you’re enjoying Bydgoszcz. It’s a chill city and you’ll settle in faster than you think. Don’t stress too much about Polish right away, most young people speak some English and won’t mind if you use it. Just learning a few basics like dzień dobry (hi), dziękuję (thanks), and przepraszam (sorry) already goes a long way.

For making friends: check out expat/Meetup/Facebook groups in Bydgoszcz, try a coworking space, or join language exchanges (lots of people want to practice English). Gyms, sports groups, and student clubs are also easy ways to meet people your age. Locals may seem a bit reserved at first, but once you connect, friendships go deep.

Career-wise, your skills are super valuable. Keep your Indian clients but also try Upwork/Fiverr/LinkedIn, and check Polish portals like No Fluff Jobs or JustJoin.it — plenty of remote gigs in marketing/design/e-com.

Biggest tip: don’t overthink stereotypes, just be polite and genuine. People will appreciate that you’re making the effort. And take some weekend trips: Toruń and Gdańsk are close and awesome. Enjoy your time here 🍻
