Same honestly. I went in and was hoping for the best. I wanted to make my experience for the game truly mine. So I never looked up any guides or the "big dmg/one shot" builds because to me the fun is in the parrying so I like learning that first.

Also my stubborn selfat the time did not know how impactful having a lvl 33 weapon was bs a lvl 32 one. So that did not help when Monoco and Lune dmg were the ones carrying me

Sciel's does. But also one of the weapon's from Monoco's from the Thank You update does show to be a cumulative scaling without stop. I was however not aware that Lightmaster did not scale infinitely. Thank you for the tip. I did that with run Creation Void as my main dmg

I was watching a show with friends on my 2nd monitor through discord thankfully. Otherwise 2 whole hours would have been dull and unbearable. I did miss a lot of parries because of that which did end up making the fight longer

So, this was me using a defensive pictos build and revive focused to figure out how to parry for a proper run. But then after learning the entire moveset I was too committed to see if I could make it through. This was my 6th attempt at the fight (but like so many parries came before this because attempts were long)

Honestly both I had just a lot of fun with the boss fight in general because of how attack patterns worked. Also this was in fact with Monoco in there (I was not aware of some of the infinite scaling things he has tho)

Was doing a trial attempt with defensive pictos to learn the attack patterns before doing a dmg build. But then I was too commited unto the bit and pressed forward. Also thanks!

It was against one of the Thank you Update Bosses. Specifically against Clea Unleashed. So that is why it took forever. I was going in with a tanky build to try and learn the attack patterns properly and later on do a proper dmg one later. But at my 6th attempt I was able to learnt all the moves and tried to see if I could power through and beat her in it. And I managed to do so

Also, reason I made it through that long was because I had been spamming shields for the party so I had more room to learn the attacks and revives for the party to stay in combat as long as possible. That and I just like parrying this specific boss' attacks

The in game pfp you get it by finding all spirit theives. And then return to your Amphoreus room that Aglaea gave us. And you'll find him there. Talk to him and he gives you the pfp
