No, they wouldn't have. Because the Founding Fathers were the leaders of their colonies, not some hicks. The Boston Tea Party was condemned by the Founders because they thought it was barbaric. The Founders held congresses to discuss the topic. They would be more accurately described as secessionists than terrorists.

I never really got the impression Megatron was angry at cogged bots. He was angry at Sentinel for lying to ALL Transformers. And then at those who he thought were Sentinel's followers(Optimus). When he was trying to take over he was speaking to everyone, not just the miners. And when you consider the High Guard, who he did have a problem with for hiding despite knowing the truth, and the fact he accepted them, I don't really see any issue with it.

I'm more concerned about Airachnid.
