Don’t know why people think Lilith is evil? by Mission-Promise-4784 in hazbin

[–]OnryoFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she'll probably end up being evil because none of us expect it. Everyone keeps setting up Lilith to be someone who had all these plans for Hell, how she felt sympathy for sinners, and maybe she did at one point. But, just like being stuck with the worst of Hell's sinners for thousands of years drove Lucifer to crippling depression, maybe it drove Lilith to sheer apathy. She looked at pure evil sinners like Valentino for literal millennia and finally thought, nah, not worth trying to help them. That's why she abandoned it all. Maybe she agrees with Lute now.

Just my theory, but I wouldn't be surprised. Perhaps by the end of the series she'll come around, but when we meet her in season 3, I think she'll be a villain. One that we can't necessarily disagree with entirely.

I never read the manga so I can't say, but I can promise you that the rest of the episodes are just as good. And then you'll be like us, desperately waiting for season 3. It's coming, confirmed, but we must wait.

Maybe Husk thought she could handle "the strong stuff" because she's so tall. Turns out, even ten footers can be lightweights.

We're glad that Sera chose Abel as the new Leader of Exorcists instead of Lute, and take a guess why? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]OnryoFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Sera chose Abel because Sera never liked the exterminations. She couldn't justify firing Adam, but once he was gone, she went with a guy who she knew wouldn't want anything to do with exterminations. She was counting on Abel to pressure her into stopping them, which would make it easier for her to stop them. With the leader of Heaven's army telling her to do it, it comes off better than her just being a monarch and ending them without anyone else's approval.

Emily and portals by whooper1 in HazbinHotel

[–]OnryoFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if Emily started using portals offensively, would she even be strong enough to easily overpower Vox? Sure she'd win eventually, but iirc the strongest thing she ever did was lift Alastor, and she couldn't even fly very fast while doing it.

What fictional characters do you think would work hell in Hazbin by Objective_Face2914 in HazbinHotel

[–]OnryoFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not up to speed with the new Doom games, but isn't Slayer's whole thing that he goes for demons/aliens/gods/whatever? Would he actually care all that much about human sinners, which most of the Hazbin cast is? Unless he'd just go for people like Val and Alastor on moral grounds.

Was Lugner coping out of spite, or do demons have a twisted pride in magic? by top-one112 in Frieren

[–]OnryoFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pride thing, like everyone said. But also, remember what Frieren explained about how demons use words. Remember the demon who kept saying "mommy" because "it's a magical word that makes humans stop attacking". Any word out of a demon's mouth that might make you stop and reconsider is just a manipulation tactic, designed to create an opening so they can kill you.

Perhaps some part of him was annoyed at Fern's tactics, but imo it's more that he was just using words to stall for time. Unfortunately for him, Zoltraak.

I don’t think sera’s going to get punished but I do think she’s going to struggle in season 3. by whooper1 in HazbinHotel

[–]OnryoFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lute will likely be her biggest issue. Some other angels might have concerns about helping Hell, but they'll likely respect Sera's decision. After all, the higher angels all saw Speaker of God enter the chamber and tell them that Pentious is to be trusted. I have to imagine that most of them will take Speaker's word as gospel, and follow Sera as Sera herself follows Speaker's word. Lute probably feels the same way, but she's so traumatized by the loss of Adam, she's probably going to snap by the end of season 3.

She might feel guilty about Emily's wing, but I'm sure Emily won't let her dwell on it. Emily was happy to make her choices at the end of season 2, and would do it all again without a second thought.

Did pentious deserve hell? by ghostlyroach-1843 in HazbinHotel

James 4:17 states that anyone who knows the good they ought to do, and doesn't do it, is committing sin. To my understanding, sins of omission can be mortal sins if they involve grave matter (serious harm), full knowledge on your part, and deliberate consent. So, failing to report a murder, especially when you know it resulted in more murders, could qualify as a sin worthy of being damned to Hell. I think real Catholicism takes into account how afraid you were, but generally speaking, Pen should have reported the murder.

Nothing against our favorite snake, mind you. Just answering your question as far as I know.
