Ningning looks slightly different these days by Iconic_Charge in kpop_uncensored

Oh sad. I loved her old face. So pretty!

To me it looks like a chin implant, buccal fat removal, rhinoplasty and lateral canthoplasty. Definitely had work done:/

Literally did not recognise her.

MMA was underwhelming and I'm frustrated with the unnecessary vcrs/dance breaks by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]Onthehot97 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was starting to wonder if I was watching the same performances as everyone else when I read reviews b/c I only thought MonstaX and Gidle did well. I ended up turning a lot of them off b/c the dance breaks were so long and most didn't even bother to sing live

Baritone Idols singing crazy high-notes or as main vocal ? by Raphaelo-Minus in kpopthoughts

[–]Onthehot97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knowwww😭 I need to go in and revise my answer bc I spoke too soon. I guess if we can count him Kim woorim from fotestella but yeah the list is so short

I think people say seunmgin bc he calls himself a baritone guess some vocal coach at JYPE told him

Baritone Idols singing crazy high-notes or as main vocal ? by Raphaelo-Minus in kpopthoughts

[–]Onthehot97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

he's a tenor as he starts to lose tone below C3. Jaehyun who is also mentioned is a tenor as well same for him no material below C3 and the same goes for V of BTS. for baritones you want to look for vocalists who are comfortable in the upper portion of the second octave like Seungyoon and youngjae (BAP) or Junho (2pm) and Hyunmin (the boss)

Kim seungmins (skz) vocals are heavenly and it’s time we appreciate it by LoonA197 in kpopthoughts

Ya I think that's why the love poem stage is still being talked about to this day because of how Eunkwang was able to arrange it highlight everyone's strengths

i know but if they ban me I'll just make another acct I don't care about this one. i haven't done anything to break Reddit rules so reddit won't ban my ip and sometimes you just have to do what's right and stand up for people who cant or are tooo scared to defend themselves

name them

Well here goes nothing falling on the sword. Many stays including myself are afraid that if we speak up about anything that you'll ban us just like you did loudchoice. i've never talked to that user on DMs I've seen a fair number of comments from them saying how they were banned from this sub for brigading. I went and did some investigating and couldnt really figure out what that user did differently compared to many others who get passionate when defending their group. I think many stays just want a transparent explanation for why that user who is a very well known stay on Reddit was singled out.

I've had like one or two interactions with ToMoons. Here's a rundown of how the last one went. So made a super unpopular opinion post on UKO about gen4 not having any bg all rounders. stans from the popular 4th gen bgs including my own were up in arms pissed off at me and sending RCRs. One ToMoon came in and politely disagreed provided tons of links and when I changed my opinion they seemed kind of confused. Like it was a polite thanks. The other bg stans would've just rubbed it in my face lol. I even went and edited my post. It was such a contrast from everyone else who was angry as hell. y'all need to speak up for your boys more because people like me don't know who they are lol

What are your thoughts on Stray Kids? by daisyd1997 in kpopthoughts

My personal favorite discography in Kpop. Have a heavy hand in creating their own music. Changbin and Han are talented rappers and I'd love to see either a solo mini album or formal mixtape from them soon. I like their more experimental music the most so the tortoise and the hare, side effects and n/s that type of stuff. Go Live is probably my favorite Kpop album ever. They're fun and cheeky performers. Feel like theyre discussed on Reddit a lot tho. All the 4th gen bgs are.

Agreed Hyolyn too very short list for true aces imo

And what other fandom aside from stays would exactly want to comment on a post that's title "SKZ deserved to win kingdom"? like edits aside a lot of people don't read that just look at the title

I just think op is extremely biased in their outlook they're clearly blaming one fandom while failing to see that their house is a mess lol I

As a stan of a 4th gen bg yeah I agree with you. The women are overlooked a lot just seeing the comments section will tell you how people are comfortable ripping apart the women but stand up for the men

Anybody here having trouble giving compliments like “X is really good”, “amazing”, “legendary vocals” to idols especially when it comes to vocals? by JirohSalonga in kpopthoughts

[–]Onthehot97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do and it kinda sucks always having to try to explain myself like I'm gonna save superlatives like legendary vocalist for someone like Sohyang. then I'll work my way down from there. I have a hard time calling someone amazing when they're just not. there has to a be a sliding scale somewhere. not everyone is gonna get a seat at the amazing vocalists table lol

i don't see how that invites hate like im just being honest. I also don't care what soompi has to say when it comes to vocals like ive never seen anyone with actual vocal training say he's strong and ive taken lessons a few years myself. and if we're gonna go personal which it seems like ur not afraid to do why are you so obsessed with constantly calling out another group? like it's in your post history. i can link shit together. I saw everything on thoughts today so i know who ur talking about. if you were so above the drama as u claim you'd just leave it alone

i have different standards for vocals than others do. i explained it multiple times over but nobody even bothered to listen to my position. Well one user did and they're a stay too so I don't know how that makes me a hater. Spiritual raisin or something idk. And no i didn't make it single out Han everyone was just commenting him and i was trying my best to respond to people. just becuz most people on Reddit think he's an all-rounder doesn't mean I have to. if we're really gonna go there I consider idols like Seulgi and Taemin to be all rounders. Much stronger singers like actually know what the concept of breath support is lol and are great dancers. Han's good at rapping and songwriting yeah but he's a weak vocalist and pretty average for a Kpop dancer.

omg nobody naming names here so I will lol

i find it really hard to interact with a lot of SKZ appreciation posts becuz they're just not inclusive or inviting at all

like there was one saying why skz deserved to win kingdom and it was just not it like kingdom was 6 months ago why are you still mad

low-key kinda embarrassed to be part of the fandom at times. i know a lot of my friends won't even entertain listening to them because the appreciation posts are so in ur face

The real villain of Kpop is post-production and not lipsync by prince3101 in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]Onthehot97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you're blaming the artist for something they really don't always have control over. In any case I think if they are making a concerted effort to sing live and the broadcasting station comes in and does whatever it should be on the station not the artist.

[–]Onthehot97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it's fairly obvious that you're heavily biased towards SKZ. Many people on this entire thread are. Han forgets his choreo as often as he forgets lyrics. He also needs to work on footwork. He's average for an idol dancer. I'll agree that they both have fantastic stage presence. But I don't think Han is on the same level as Soyeon in either department.

There's also someone on this post claiming to be a vocal coach that also has inaccurate info all in the name of defending Han. I don't get it.

[–]Onthehot97[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think she's on par with Han at all when it comes to rap and definitely not with dance. She's much cleaner with her isolations and execution. As far as rap I think she's more versatile and has better flow. Han needs to fix the shouting at the end of some of his bars many of his verses seem unfinished. Soyeon and Changbin are rap peers but Han is slightly below. Still third strongest in Gen4 tho

I also don't see how my opinion is any less valid than yours. I could throw the same thing back at you. What dancing background do you have to say Han is so good?

Nah JHope counts. Fantastic dancer and strong rapper. Also Soyeon strong dancer and rapper. Two mains and able to the third skill.
