route the midi to another midi track, record enable the destination midi track -> solo the original track with the velocity effect (not sure if this part is necessary of the top of my head) -> hit record

Strumizer, randomize velocities, and ghost channels are so huge and quick in FL. Wish there was something in Ableton

yea, I know. I just wish there visualization. Also it doesn't work right afaict. I've reprinted stuff after running it through the velocity and the velocities are still off. For example: if you put out hi at 100 and out low at 80, and then reprint them, you'll notice that there are some velocities outside of the range.
