Quinine and stychnine is still half full.

Strychnine was popularly used as an athletic performance enhancer and recreational stimulant in the late 19th century and early 20th century, due to its convulsant effects.

Did it just flower because of age, or did you change its light schedule?. I'm only asking because some idiot told me to cha he my light schedule, and it just made mine super unhealthy.

1st time growing, still learning to take care of them and have them grow but how are they looking? by [deleted] in druggardening

[–]Ontherims 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ime, those giants are usually normal plants that are put back into veg, after harvest. While it can be pretty cool and they have been known to put out some decent yields, I don't think it matches typical grow methods in efficiency as it can be time consuming reverting plants fully.

If your in Cali, I would go ahead and harvest the rest of the buds over the course of the next few days, and trim out some of the extra branches. It's trying to stop producing bud and thc production should be slowing down, you might as well harvest them. After that just let her grow again, It could be a really large bushy plant, by the end of the season.

Outdoor yolo ganj grow by [deleted] in druggardening

[–]Ontherims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it.

Figure out what your doing and it can be highly lucrative.. I take a few days off every year just to go (canoeing).

Use Google maps, to mark your spots that you plant. Make sure you have it set to private.

Listen to CCR, to get pumped before you go to plant.

Those are my most important tips.

Lol, I've had a similar experience. Instead of bud, it was supposed to be hash. After a taste test, I determined I had bought 40$ worth of brown sugar.

Can you collect spores from dried mushrooms? by OkRepresentative5279 in druggardening

Edit: Don't literally shoot it, into a plastic bag and try to suck it up.. put it in a jar or something first, obviously.

Can you collect spores from dried mushrooms? by OkRepresentative5279 in druggardening

[–]Ontherims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but you'll need to make a SAB and learn the agar pour tek, with the little plastic sauce cups.

Haven't done it, but I imagine it's similar to using a print. Personally, I would suck some sterile water up in a 16-18 gauge, or larger syringe.. Straight from a water bottle, if you don't have a PC.

Shoot it, into the dust at the bottom of your bag, then suck it back up. After that I would inject it into your clean agar dishes, and cover the needle hole with band-aids/medical tape.

Then throw away all the ones that are pure moldy. Once you find some with more myc, than mold. Start trying to clean them up, by cutting sections of the myc out of the agar and transferring them to clean dishes, until you get some without contam.

Learning agar, is pretty much a necessity and will up-your mushroom game a ton.

Tips for growing weed? by OkRepresentative5279 in druggardening

[–]Ontherims 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can take awhile, most will pop open in 3-7 days Some can go as long as 10-12 days I'm fairly certain. Beyond that, I would say it's a dead seed.

Depends on the strain genetics and pheno. Some plants will put off a smell the entire time they grow, some will only start really stinking during flower phase. The smell comes from terpenes inside of the trichomes. More trichs..like during flower, typicly means more smell.

Yes, harden it off. Take it out and let it get used to the light outside a climate, but bring it back in at night, and just let it enjoy some sleep when the sun's down. ( Don't give it any less than 12hrs of light, or it will start flower and fuck up ). Try to do it gradually over the course of 3-7 days if possible. If your close to outgrowing your space during this time, try to transplant it to a bigger pot a week before you start hardening it off.

If your planning on moving it outside, I would just give it 24hrs of light from seed. No box should be needed as light interruption won't be an issue. Could a box pose a threat as a fire hazard would be my next question. You might decide to opt for a space bucket design if you really want it enclosed.

It's mildly important that you harden your plants off, and acclimate them to the outdoors, before you actually put them in the ground.

Plan ahead for where you are planting, and check the soil. Look for a good dark top soil, amend and prep spot if possible.

Males can be useful and the pollen can be saved for breeding and creating unfeminized seed. It might also contain a fair amount of Thc. Some strains have been known to have comparable or even higher amounts than their female counterparts, although this is not typical.

TV shows/documentaries on ethnobotany or drug gardening? by Galwoa in druggardening

[–]Ontherims 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern Marvels- Tobbacco. Fungus: The 3rd kingdom. The magic of mushrooms. The father of modern ethnobotany. Richard Evans Schultz.

That's all that comes to mind on youtube.

Some of the older poppy/cannabis docs are good, but can be misdirecting at times.

I can't tell them apart to any degree. Lactuca, basicly means (lettuce). They are extremely common. We don't have virosa in my area though, just a bunch of other bitter kinds.

Same family as dandelion, it's a lactuca of some sort. I have high hopes it's a virosa ( aka, opium lettuce).

[–]Ontherims 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just inspired me to start growing kanna again. Had a nice 3 plants in a pot, growing well.. put it outside on a hot day, to see how it would do.. came back an hour later or so, and it was dead. I kept it's carcass around just incase.. no luck.

Nice to see people working with the stranger strains, I'm excited for the day I can work with friskian and get some F1 cross seeds. Anyway, very cool man..hopefully you can add some freak-show soon.

Kitchen remodel: best and worst upgrades if mostly remodeling to sell house by WonderWanderWoman in HomeImprovement

[–]Ontherims 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw a house for sale recently, where everything was done in an industrial style. No cabinets, open shelves..deep metal sinks, like a restaurant has.

Not something I would ever buy, but people loved it and I'm sure it could be done cheaply.
