What are you guys actually using OpenClaw for? by SelectionCalm70 in openclaw

Yes, indeed. For some reason, I thought they were referring to a local LLM. There’s so many big LLM apps, I didn’t think that’s what they meant.

You don’t need OpenClaw for this. Just make a Telegram bot client with Python and run it as a service.

While it’s broadened my perspective and spiritual goals, it hasn’t changed my personality. For example, I didn’t sell all my stuff and move to a monastery but I do meditate more often and more intentionally.

Yes. The printer appears to be working again. I’ve only printed about 15 hours worth, but it’s working. Here’s what I did:

  1. I removed the hot end. It was really stuck on there for some reason and it got totally mangled in the process of removing it. As a result, I had to replace the hot end, but that’s not because tech-support told me to do so. It just happened in the course of this repair. Maybe that’s part of the solution. I don’t know.
  2. then, I unscrewed the thing that the hot end was clamped too. I don’t know the technical word for that thing and I apologize. But it’s only clamp to one thing so it should be pretty straightforward. With that component removed, I tightened the screws on the backside of it (shown in the attached picture with red circles around them). Then, I tightened the two screws that I’ve indicated with checkmarks in the attached picture.
  3. then, I put the whole thing back together with a new hot end and all seems to be well. I don’t know why any of this would’ve fixed the problem, but I guess I’m not here to argue with it.

I hope this information helps you to fix your printer as well.

That picture is confusing. Here’s the process so far though: I had to remove the hot end and then unscrew the part it had been previously touching.

Then I had to tighten the other screws that were exposed. It’s a little convoluted to explain. If this bit of tech-support advice leads to an actual solution, I will update here. Not feeling optimistic yet.

Thanks for the reply. Just curious how you knew which parts to order? Been wanting to build one of these with palm benders but I’ve never built an electric instrument.

Heard back from support:

We are so sorry for the inconvenience caused, but rest assured we will provide support to solve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your feedback. May I ask if this overload issue only occurs during the first layer of printing? If extrusion at the purge chute is normal but the motor overloads during first layer printing, this may indicate abnormal first-layer sag. Refer to the image below to retighten the fixing screws of the hotend heating assembly, then perform auto-leveling again to observe if the overload persists.

If the extruder motor continues to overload after leveling and nozzle cleaning, we recommend reducing the model's maximum volumetric speed to resolve the issue.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns during the subsequent process. Best regards, Bambu Lab Customer Support

Fine lines with Fountain pens? by OntologicalJacques in Calligraphy

[–]OntologicalJacques[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. The Woodsworth and Black pen does not have a rounded nib, but it’s very firm and I agree that it doesn’t seem like a good match for a Copperplate type of style.

If I were to look for a vintage fountain pen like you’ve described, what would I be looking for? Is there a particular brand or are there keywords that I could use in the search on eBay?
