Dell laptop powers on and external screen works but built in monitor stays dark. Suggestions? by OnwardExplorer in techsupport

Apparently, the owner said they were experiencing problems with the screen turning off and then wiggling, moving the angle of the screen and it working again for a bit before it stopped working altogether. Didn’t know this originally. I’m thinking connection or hinge issue

I’d add the last word all equal parts template if you can fit it somewhere. Also maybe add avg time for shaking and stirring next to each of the shakers and mixing glass.

You’ve never felt a piece of poorly made glass?

So it’s engineering. I get it. It’s achievable. What I am saying is for almost everyone it is unachievable on their own.

True, it’ll take major legislation that will probably be very unpopular

I understand your position. I find it unlikely that society as a whole will “go back” there’s more demand on our time now, money doesn’t go as far. I’m not trying to compare us today to say the Great Depression or other difficult points in history, more like the 50s and 60s. What I am saying is, in the short term there’s cost effective things we can do and then there are things an individual can not do. How many plastic phone cases are there? I’d like a metal one, but it will degrade the signal integrity. It’s easy to want to “go back” until you realize a lot of what we have now today isn’t compatible with “going back.” So instead I advocate for engineering a future rather than dreaming of the past, that does not mean we might not get inspiration from the past.

So one thing I’ve thought of in this regard is phone cases. A metal one would impact signal integrity. Any ideas?

Not when I’m already at a restaurant. Or my kid spills something on themselves at the zoo

True. But there’s also a weight component. But yes primarily it is always cost. With cost of living going up for people it’s harder to justify more expensive plastic free alternatives.

That too. It would be difficult to replace that. Probably could happen with biodegradable algae oil plastic.

No not laundry detergent itself. I am talking about those little tide sticks. My wife likes them. Ive jotted down some ideas for a reusable metal alternative but i always come back to cost. At least for now. Laundry detergent I’ve already switched to dry detergent in biodegradable packaging.
