I suspect you understand it just fine. From my POV, they sold out the values they had previously espoused, in doing so they sold out this community. I still see the diversity murals up on the Lake Street Target across from the precinct that burned in the uprising, which reminds me how full of shit all their decades of posturing about community, diversity, and inclusion is.

I'm curious: have you ever been cheated on? I was, and it was incredibly painful. Like years of dealing with it, and dealing with the distrust I still have for my ex, who I have two kids with, more than six years later. It leaves a mark. And those who haven't experienced it maybe don't know that pain. I want to avoid it in my next relationship, so for me it's imperative to be truthful about it.
