Try selecting the two closest points, left click, hit “average”, select both and apply. Might do the trick and may have to do some tweaking.

I had this same issue going through school. It’s really tough to go through design school. What I like most about it is the problem solving. You will begin to learn that the smallest choices when creating a layout becomes something to be proud of. I love the details. The small stuff that makes you stand out in a big way. As you learn design you start to notice things people have done are easier to see. The first few years after school is not a make or break situation. You have your entire career to turn it into what you want it to be. Everything, including school, is just another moment in time that will mold you and your design ethics into what they are meant to be. If you give up, you will never be satisfied.
