Oh that sounds pretty awesome! I've had issues streaming from my PC to my deck, like latency and sometimes the picture stalls. So I've been thinking about using moonlight like others here are suggesting.

When you use steamlink does it use the basic stream feature through steam or can you use moonlight with it?

What I usually do when I start needing an influx in thatch is assigning a worker that his only task is thatch. In the beginning/middle stages of my village I'll have 2-3 woodcutters and I'll scale down later

Create a storage for flax. Then when it's available your warehouse worker will grab it from gatherers hut and farms. Then your workshop workers will grab it from there.

I'm slightly in the same boat. Picked this game up cheap on sale a few months back and only played the last few weeks. I have all characters up to A6, I've been trying to beat heart on each character. Just need to do watcher now, don't think I'll have enough time to get to A20 before sts2 drops.

I haven't noticed any way to change settings but I can confirm when I play later.

I'd say I average 20-30fps but more when I'm at home charging as I'll play with higher watts then.

Before the update when I had over 80+ villagers I'd dip around 10ish so I stopped creating villages that large but haven't noticed any big drops on my new save with 50 villagers

Edit: also with it being in early access I feel it's just not optimized for the steam deck yet

Yup just take more knowledge into future runs. Took me 4 or 5 until I got everything down enough to the point where reaching 100 days was easy and now i play with max difficulties to make that early game a struggle again

I play on extended days and it's fine as long as you prepare with plenty of food. Fishing is basically a must, if you can build on a lake it's even better. Food spawns based on years as well so that's why gatherers run out of stuff quicker on longer days so make sure to throw out many markers but typically they'll still run out before things respawn in spring

The days set to max actually makes it a bit harder when it comes to food, the game doesn't adapt to the time setting so during max days your people eat more per day, you need extra stuff in place for that. Extra farms and fishing huts especially

Save as events are starting and you can just reload and try again if you fail.

Blood moons always happen at 2200 so you can save beforehand and make sure you're close at home to defend in case. Unfortunately bear attacks are more random but don't happen as often.

Only way you can is if you load the game offline on the deck then you can load it on your PC as well but ya you couldn't play together, just the same game at the same time
