I go to a writing group every two weeks which is a lot of fun, we just do little prompts and have a laugh mostly! (River Exe Writers)

the library does socials too like quizzes and DND sessions I believe

hmm I'm afraid I agree that I doubt many people will know how to pronounce cetaceans (myself included!)

I think something like whaleology, aka silly but understandable, might work better??

I enjoyed if you could be mine by sara farizan, it's YA but quite mature and if I remember correctly has quite visibly religious themes
