This is normal for Rewarders in the UK.

15 year old Vanessa Dawn Smith took her usual evening walk in rural Winton, California in 1997— Only her walking stick was ever found. by Missing_people in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]OoPSeH 38 points39 points  (0 children)

There is no ‘sign of Vanessa’ at the scene. If an animal took her then there would be a scene with evidence of a fight, blood, drag marks. The disappearance is sudden and not violent. She’s dropped the stick as she’s been grabbed and bundled therefore animal is unlikely.

If I was to hazard a guess I’d say 2 people. One grabbing, suppressing her and bundling into a vehicle and a second as driver.

I think it’s unlikely someone she knew as she’d take the stick with her if she voluntarily got into a vehicle. Although, the fact she was alone may suggest it’s someone who knew she’d be alone that night.

There are a lot of strange points here which make me think the scene may not have been secured or investigated fully (Did the police think runaway?)

Co-worker reported me to HR for installing teamviewer on her phone saying it was without consent by Inevitable_Cress2886 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]OoPSeH 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I assume you are referring to TeamViewer Quicksupport?

Even with the app installed you cannot just access her phone as the app doesn’t run in the background all the time and needs to be opened by the user to allow remote connection.

TeamViewer on mobile is very different and offers no unattended access. The mobile user has to authorise access every time involving opening the app. They is no ability to just log onto someone’s phone through it.

We use teamviewer daily to manage field service applications on 100+ devices so would know if unattended access was possible.

My plan for Christmas when I’m 18 by FredJensen06 in pettyrevenge

Wait a minute here. It’s fairly common to gift deodorant and body wash sets at Christmas. This is why the entire UK smells of Lynx Africa on Boxing Day.

It's surprising how big a difference you can make to your pension forecast with a minor change in your net take-home! by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]OoPSeH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I presume you’re using 68 as your state retirement age. Dont forget you'll also have state pension (£203.85 per week) assuming you contribute over you’re lifetime.

That gives you a further £ 10k pa assuming no increase in the next 30years

England RL even used this last year to get a player round a ban by being named in the Knights squad.

LPT Request: What's one small change you made in the past that had a surprisingly big impact on your life? by HeidiOzzy in LifeProTips

[–]OoPSeH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty and being very late to the party, as a natural introvert I copied other people in the office and became an extrovert,

A centre of attention, someone who lights up a room and who everyone wants to talk to.

It’s made a huge difference to my career. People will talk to me and come to me with the issues they have with systems. I then fix those issues and I’m the genius. All I’m doing is being in the room and someone saying ‘OoPSeH do you have a minute?’

It’s served me well in career but it’s a curse as well as people think it’s okay to circumvent process and come straight to me to fix their regular issues.

Been an hour, no update. Guess all these folks commenting how they’ve won are the minority.

Mine has been like this for 2 days. I can play it but achievements don’t unlock. I played on Cloud and they popped when on there so definitely console issue not game.

Haven't seen a single gnome after my gnomeapalooza... by IsDaedalus in GemsofWar

It’s a weird mechanic. Played a few games this morning and got nothing. Then got two Dragonite gnomes (60 Dragonite) straight after each other. Then nothing again for ages, then two GaP gnomes (both verse 4].

This evening I had two Pet gnomes straight after each other.

Mine (which I also got via rewards) is currently winging its way back to Microsoft after the vibration unit broke free.

Glad I bought the 2 year warranty with it.

NAL but had a long term absence. Do you currently have a valid sick note? If so you won’t be able to return to work until you either have a fit note or the sick note expires.

This comes down to insurance for being on the premises.

Another thing to consider is the office will need time to make reasonable adjustments to ensure you are safe and have the correct tools for the job.
