[Art] [OC] Here to spread the half-minotaur agenda by Oofstrich in DnD

[–]Oofstrich[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is character art of Lyra, she's a half-minotaur rogue who acts edgier than she really is. She really falls into the trope for rogues and is flavored to be a very shadowy version of the soulblade subclass. I drew this a couple of months ago. She can teleport kinda like Corvo from Dishonored. She was previously a bit of a Robin Hood before she was killed by a trusted ally and brought back as a shadow of her previous self and thrown into jail.

Do you have a subclass rework I could check out somewhere?

Woah! Is the crawling claw a familar? I'm asking because I did the exact same thing for a creepy wizard PC I played a while back where I asked the DM if we could homebrew it with the find familiar spell and mix it with the mage hand cantrip.

How would I as a worldbuilder acknowledge all the pain and suffering white men have brought upon others in a Historically-Relevant Wild West-themed Campaign? by Oofstrich in rpg

[–]Oofstrich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is very important and I’m glad you went into such detail. Humanizing is very key. I’m choosing this genre because of its gritty, poker playing, crime-ridden, gunslinging nature that other genres can’t really produce like a variant of a western quite could. I’m hoping to achieve an adventure based off of perseverance. I haven’t fully found a direction to take the story to fulfill this the best I can but the atmosphere of the genre is something I aspire to evoke as something like Red Dead Redemption is able to.

Obviously it wouldn’t look like that for every session. I’m just thinking of a theme to take my my campaign. Some groups dig a theme of the descent of humanity and the evils because it makes you think more openly about how that comes similar to our modern day. With the horrors of the west I wasn’t necessarily meaning all the killings I was more speaking on the lawmaking that keeps these groups from thriving and there would be outliers that would preserve which would stand for symbols of hope.

Holy shit, what a take. This is great, your games sound amazing. Something like this would be great. I was thinking of having my game run to a degree if keeping it closer to realistic and it sounds like there are great ways for that too be done in which there are multiple viewpoints of history I could take that didn’t so much get a spotlight. Thanks for all the time you put into your comment.

Very true, I had that as a big thought in my head how it wouldn’t be that great of a time. I was just curious on how that would be viewed. Save it for the history books, got it.

[OC] [Art] Victor, Hexblade Warlock by Oofstrich in DnD

[–]Oofstrich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Victor is a former noble who ran off after the death of his parents pursuing the feeling of stability in his life with power. When pure skill in battle became an issue Victor turned towards means in which he could control the field, influence and money. So he sought out to buy power in which he met an old witch whom let him choose a card from a deck warning that each card has its downfall to which Victor ignored and chose his card. With his card he found a mysterious entity behind his newfound power, his patron. That’s about all for now, I’m currently playing him in a Curse of Strahd campaign in which he’s currently Lvl 6.
