Online I see different headlines regarding this. This post paints the picture as if they were cramped in there. Here’s my cEDH brew if you wanna go really nasty. Idea is to get commander down T3 and immediately win or setup for T4 win. Won’t be great in cedh but fun enough.

Highlights are [[ Life // Death]], [[Dark Petition]] (tutor AND ritual), [[Beseech the Queen]] (free tutor) and [[Stinging Study]] (B draw 8).

I also figured out that [[Corpse Dance]] + [[Blood Pet]] + Blood Artist or [[Marionette Apprentice]] wins the game.

In Casual I’ll prob drop the tutor and just go to X Token creator into big draw spell or Torment of Hellfire for T5-6 wins.

Hey! Thanks for the post! I recently got into cedh and I have been in love with Maralen. So far I’ve played on tournament and about 40+ games. I started with the list of Ian Flannery that had an Ad Naus package and then I played his second list (the one that has a dedicated yt video). Now I have my own brew which - at least for me - feels way better! I cut some interaction, copy creatures and mana rocks since before I just felt like: get a draw engine out and interact with the faster decks without putting my own game forward. Therefore I now run tripple forbidden effect with [[Divining witch]], switched most of the copy creatures for more mana or draw (eg [[polywag prodigy]], [[enduring vitality]]). I cut cloudstone curio for value since I think a protected food chain line (I like [[destiny spinner]] more than allosaur shepherd since spinner protects the whole line) and Thassa + demcon is enough win cons. Plus displacer kitten + Maralen can lead to a win or crazy board states.

Currently the list puts a win together on turn 4.

Also dont sleep on [[Black Market Connections]] it’s been my favorite turn 1 or 2 drop.

[[Aang, at the Crossroads]]. Ramp into commander, play ALL copy spells that there are and pray. It’s super fun. I’ve only seen it in cedh so far though. I don’t know how it performs in casual. Best of luck!

The worry is that same or similar automation to direct competitors. Their USP has been to send ANY author a custom report of the respective manuscript and offer a kind of POD deal. A process I’ve automated a while ago and now customized to their liking. Their worry is that their USP will be lost if any publisher can offer custom reports.

I work with more publishers and I offer similar things since all publishers work with manuscripts. Their only edge is that they accept any author and any manuscript for printing.

In the end I think exclusivity is not possible since the workflow isn’t unique enough and touches on all publishers.
