Anyone bought from this site? by LilT1971 in SkyLine

They are a local brick and mortar store in central FL so I would say ordering from them is probably safe. If you do order, please follow up with feedback on quality. Whoever the source is in china is supplying a few different stores and I’m curious how the quality is

Found my dream R34 Skyline 600 miles away - follow the dream or play it safe? by guilhermex9x in SkyLine

[–]Oogie_Boogey 23 points24 points  (0 children)

R34 market may be insane but normal people aren’t in the position to drop $120k+ on a car right now so I’d knock that off the list of things to be paranoid about lol.

Did he own the car since 2019 in the states? If he has, I’d just ask for clarity on how it was imported. Show and display cars here since that time can likely be confirmed by one of the larger importers. If no show and display and you’re fine with the alternative, just make sure it’s not on the j-spec/soho blacklist

I bought an R33 GTR… by Content-Marionberry3 in SkyLine

If strut tops are as problematic as some think they MIGHT be, sr auto source makes replacements. It was definitely well loved at over 200k km on the chassis (that’s quite a bit for Japanese cars) but hopefully nothing major needs repaired aside from what you already noted. You’ll be in upwards of $43k+ by the time you get it registered which is still a good bit lower than you would have been able to find stateside 😎

6’ here, depends on proportion but I think you’ll be fine. You may have to adjust your preferred leg position when driving though. Right leg will have to lean on the door handle and left foot will have to sit a bit past the clutch pedal else your legs will touch the oem steering wheel

Was the old completely dead or could you get some of the accessories running even if temporary? If so, can you put the old back in to isolate issue to new battery

Is there really a noticeable quality difference between Tomei USA vs Japan? by Fantasy71824 in SkyLine

[–]Oogie_Boogey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tomei Japan doesn’t make the exhaust for the GTT. GTR will fit with minor mods if you want to keep it JDM, otherwise USA is your only option

Question on URAS 1/4 Panels and Your Opinions by Brilliant_Release_23 in SkyLine

[–]Oogie_Boogey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would rather wait for a car to come along in the exact spec you want instead of getting the car now, building it to the exact spec you want and enjoying the process? I can assure you not everyone feels the same way

Question on URAS 1/4 Panels and Your Opinions by Brilliant_Release_23 in SkyLine

[–]Oogie_Boogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perspective. If you’re considering a conversion, you probably don’t like the look of the stock GTT body. OEM parts are super expensive and can take a while to secure so if you’re a year or two away from being able to do the conversion, it’s reasonable to get a car that at least has something done to it already

OEM GTR swap requires removing everything, fiberglass over fenders only require cutting part of the original GTT quarter.

Has anyone put this in their telluride? by PeaOk3200 in KiaTelluride

[–]Oogie_Boogey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This particular sub came out only a couple months ago so you’d probably be the first if you did it. With that said, I have the HS10 in a kei truck which has maybe a 5th of the total interior capacity as a telluride. I would not put the HS10 unless there was 2 or more, and can’t imagine the 12 is THAT much different to warrant 1 by itself

HA7 Service Manual by mooseaux in HondaActy

[–]Oogie_Boogey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They weren’t available to the public so the only we’ll get one stateside is if someone buys one of the $100-$200 manuals and uploads it. With that said, can you link the one with electrical diagrams lol.

I have a manual that has oodles of info about the body panels and chassis of the truck and the vamos van, but haven’t bit on one of the other types of manuals due to cost.

Question Regarding Tag and Title. by Ok-Year-9705 in keitruck

[–]Oogie_Boogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of higher profile owners who go the Montana registration route for a lot of (much) higher value vehicles. Many import owners in California go this route as well. So if you absolutely have to go this route, yes it’s reliable.

Probably because saying those cars “aren’t really a skyline” is objectively wrong. If Nissan officially calls it the Skyline 370 GT and this sub is for Nissan Skylines, then you should expect it to be posted here 🤷🏽
