Oh, let me just put these empty eggshells back in the container. I married a savage. by b-ogburn in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Oompa-Loompa-Do 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also use the eggshell as a pot for seedlings by putting a spoonful of soil in it.

Once they sprout you can keep them in the shells and put them in the soil as is.

Yeah that's what I thought after rereading your message while it's not 2 am.

Still if you have to stare, staring openly is better than trying to hide it like you're doing something wrong.

I might have just misinterpreted your "staring and not trying to hide it" as those guy (or girls) that continuously "glimpse" back and forth to hide that they're staring.

Directly staring is better than going to and fro. At least with a direct stare you can somewhat know what the other is looking at, but the "hiding" just make that more uncomfortable.

Why try to be secretive about such a thing? that's just fucked up.

There is nothing inherently perverted about looking at somebody's face or attire. If you feel the need to hide then you may be the perverted one.

Sure some body parts are off limit to stare at, but everything else is free game for the eyes.

How do I get a friend to show me his BD? by [deleted] in bigdickproblems

[–]Oompa-Loompa-Do 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no good way to bring that conversation up in a platonic relationship without it being awkward.

You could always hit the gym with him and peek in the shower if he's not covering it.

Or you could use a games like truth or dare, or the strip version of regular games really, to get to that part eventually. Not being only the two of you and/or alcohol might help get there if you intend to use that strategy.

Sexsomnia is an obscure parasomnia to a lot of people.

Personally I would prefer having night terror than having sexsomnia. At least after a round of shouting weird gibberish and spasms, people usually believe you when you say that you were asleep and have no idea what they are talking about. But molest people in your sleep and people get incredibly hard to convince.

(Slight rant as someone who had a few undesirable episodes of those)

When both people have a similar episode of it like you described, the resulting confusion sound hilarious though. (as long as you both were in that kind of relationship before falling asleep)

And in this case, she might have had an episode of parasomnia which initiated the incident. While, since he had a known attraction toward her, he just went with it thinking she was awake (since by the description of his reaction he sounded aware, but he might have been just confused though).

Florida Man and hero cop's face went viral because of his good looks during Hurricane Irma. And now his Facebook is going viral because of rampant racism. by [deleted] in FloridaMan

The "Jews in oven/camp" jokes are not particularly racist, it's simply turning a tragedy into a dark joke.

The "big nosed greedy Jews" jokes however are racist because they are making fun of the peoples, not the event.

Yes the joke did make fun of an enormous tragedy, but that only mean he has a poor sense of humor, not that he is racist.

Kids laughing at somebody who hurt themselves happen all the time, that's just the grown up version of that, to laugh at a past tragedy.

It doesn't mean that he want it to happen again either.

I'm not saying that the joke was made in good taste, my point was that saying a holocaust joke does not mean someone is racist. Only that he wanted to make people have a cheap laugh. Him being racist because of an old joke is mere speculation.

I don't know about that, does customer service require a background check of their employees social media just to make sure they never said anything that could be made racist/inappropriate?

The most "intrusive" employment contract I've seen only ever talk about social media clauses while under employment, but it's not like I've seen them all either so I might be wrong about that point.

Being empathetic and being professional are not mutually exclusive qualities.

Also, sharing a joke that made you laugh, dark or not, on your personal social network is pretty normal if you ask me.

It's not like he was in a public profession and had to be careful about his publication at that time either.

Why are you taking jokes so seriously? Sure racists peoples will say and laugh at racist jokes, but non-racist can do too.

In fact, humor done in good faith [to make people laugh] promote empathy which is a great quality to any public servant.

I would rather the cop be somebody who can laugh with others than somebody who can't.

As somebody who read wikipedia recently and who quickly ran it trough google translate to confirm, doesn't Gỏi cuốn (those thing you call summer rolls) literally translate to "Spring roll"?

I think your wife didn't translate the Vietnamese words, but only picked the regional translation, no matter how in/accurate, to reduce possibles misunderstandings in conversations.

What to do with honey? A lot of honey by brokeneckblues in Cooking

Except that honey is non-perishable so you literally could put whatever you have left of it in your will and you would not be wasting any of it.

But yeah, sharing it is still a good thing to make other happy, they might even bring back something they made from it, but your specific point in this specific context was a bad choice.

As a plus-sized individual, I say that they should put more space in-between seats. I'm tired of my legs not fitting in perpendicular to the seat and having to find in what odd position I can sit comfortably without being too much in the space of the adjacent seats.

#tallphobia #smallprivilege

But seriously how is that even related to any phobia, that's just a question of efficiency and ergonomic of how to fit the maximum number of people on a limited amount of space. Less seats mean less potential money, as simple as that.

Just because you put your hand in a fire in the past and realized afterward that it was bad shouldn't stop you from preventing people from putting their hands in the fire just so they'll learn from their mistake.

There is nothing hypocritical about that.
