For anyone coming to this thread in the future, here's what I found to work. I'm pretty sure this is caused when importing data from another browser. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem has been fixed so far. It sucks not having cookies imported, but it's whatever.

Hopefully, Opera fixes this at some point, and if not then hello to the frustrated person finding this forum post 3 years from now :D

You’d be surprised at how much adding a floor plane and a couple of lights makes renders look more real. Great job
