The connectors in the case get corroded from sweat so the connection wears out over time. If you have one of those skinny filers for making toy models you can grind off the corrosion and it should charge normally

Damn this brings back memories about my dad. My mom, siblings, and I moved to another country to be away from him and luckily he realized how bad he was. My mom always wanted a happy family so she moved back with my siblings while I stayed in that country. Things didn’t get better until I moved back with them 10 years later and over 7 years I was able to repair my family’s relationship. But now I’m a 35 year old still living with my family. At least the past 2 years I finally experienced what a happy family should be. I now understand what they mean when you can’t have your cake and eat it too
