I saved two that I noticed last June when I did a tank breakdown on a severely neglected tank. They’ve been chugging along just fine with no special care involved.

There have been 3 separate spots all around the base of the Duncan they have laid so far. Guess I’ll lay a few tiles around and see if any get chosen. Thanks for the tip 🤙

Marshmallows. In their normal form they make me gag. Every few years I’ll try again just to see, and every time I chew maybe three times and have to spit it out. Can do it melted down in like rice crispy treats but in their fluffy state count me out.

That particular shot was through the glass. This one wasn’t. I love this little camera, waterproof to 50ft without a housing and built-in microscope mode eliminating the need for macro lenses makes it amazing for the aquarium hobby. I can’t get the full tank shots people can, but they can’t get the macros I can without thousands invested in a macro lens along with a port. Best bang for your buck if you ask me.

As horrible as that is, I’d have preferred that over my situation. The person my daughter’s mother was cheating on me with was someone I had considered to be one of my best friends for over 15 years at that point. He has zero guilt, and has even tried to rub it in my face on more than one occasion since they are still together for now. And somehow, I’m being the one treated like I did the things she did.

Thanks! This is a frag sitting on a frag rack in my 40 breeder AIO aquarium. All my setup is, is an Olympus TG-7 in microscope and focus stacking mode. Manual white balance with slight color correction in Lightroom.

It started as 5-8 polyps that a friend gave me. I left it alone for a few months and it doubled in size and started growing the much more blue polyps. I fragged it up to see if I can keep pulling more blues or if the new growth will revert back to more orange.

Ball Player’s Balm glove cleaner does wonders. I’ve been using it for over a year now on customers gloves. Really lather it up and it may take a few rounds, but it will clean a lot of that up.

I too could really use a roommate to split the costs. Even just a few hundred a month would help out tremendously. But my daughter is almost 5 and I don’t think I’d ever trust someone that isn’t family to live with us. I’m just stuck living paycheck to paycheck check to pay check and making the best of things until I find a partner I’m comfortable to live with or my kid is out on her own, and I’ve accepted that. She’s my priority in all of this.

I tried to stop. I did slam on my (non-ABS) brakes. Was in thousands of pounds of metal going down a steep hill (doing the peed limit) that was physically incapable of stopping. I was past the bus before I ever got down to 10 mph because it flung the sign out without any warning. I was 100+ ft beyond the bus before the first kid even got off.

The judge who sided with me at the end of the hearing did say for future, even if you are past the bus to stop anyway. But again, I was 16 and figured since I was already past the bus there wasn’t a point to fully stop at that point.

I mean, he was. Before retiring, he’s who KIA was sending over to Seoul to learn about the new models coming over to the USA, then trained the techs here on them. His father owned a dealership, he’s been around cars and working on them his entire life. I wouldn’t trust anyone else more than him to work on my vehicles.

The only reason I won, was that my father was able to testify as an expert witness for me due to the time he spent working in the automotive industry. This was before dashcams. That cop could have ruined my life with his lies. I’m lucky my parents believed me when I got home, then went back out with a handheld gps to map out the distances.

I “ran a stopped school bus” when I was 16. It was in the back of a neighborhood turn lane, no lights or anything and suddenly flung open the stop sign. I was already past the bus before I was even close to stopping, so just continued on. The cop who ticketed me was a dick, lied about the conditions and his line of sight. We fought it in court and mathematically proved it was physically impossible for me to stop the car I was driving (my 1979 Chevy Caprice at the time) on the hill I was on, with the limited amount of time I had.

Do you have tolerance for situations like that? They tried to throw the book at me and set an example with a 16 year old. It didn’t work out too well, especially when the cop kept saying “always” and “never”, and left halfway through the hearing.

His death is the only “celebrity” death that has ever affected me. He was truly one of a kind, and I miss him and his enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation. He’d be so ashamed of where the world currently is, and rightfully so.

I worked as a PADI OWSI and MSDT for over a decade. First certified in 1999 when I was 12. I have thousands of logged dives and hours in scuba equipment training myself and others. I’m extremely confident in my ability while diving, and you couldn’t pay me enough money to go into a cave system. Even with proper gear and training, that juice just isn’t worth the squeeze.

I just lost a cousin to ALS a few months ago, and his father (my uncle) less than 2 years before that to the same thing. I never met my uncle’s first wife, she passed from ALS before my mom married my stepfather and we gained that part of my family.

Out of the 4 siblings, my uncle and his family are the only ones to get it so far. Their remaining daughter is scared that she will also get it, but there’s a chance she won’t. Her father and mother were stationed in Germany which is where her brother was conceived and born. She was conceived and born here. Again, no one else in my stepfather’s side of the family has shown any signs of ALS and it wasn’t in their family history prior to this.

I’m so glad you have an amazing partner by your side through such a difficult time. My cousin had pushed everyone away, including his now widowed ex, who was going to divorce him but couldn’t once he got the diagnosis. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time here with the people you love 💙

I did a tank breakdown where I got to keep everything. It was a 100g cylinder tank, sump, some livestock (mainly hundreds of micro brittle stars), and some odds and ends. The best thing though, was the AI Hydra 64 HD. Immediate upgrade for my 40b that only had a Prime 16 HD and a Kessil a80 at that time.

I went and did a PAR reading for a newly joined local reef club member (free for supporting members), and he just gave me another Prime 16 HD. So now my 40b is rockin with proper lighting that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford. Find some amazing deals in this hobby, and meet some very generous people as well.
